I hope you are getting some sleep as I type this, rose1985. I did sleep about five hours, but woke up at 3 am and haven't been able to get back to sleep. I almost feel like going downstairs and making a Dutch Baby for an extra early breakfast.

When I stopped taking my morning klonopin I had trouble sleeping for a few nights as well; I think it can take a while for the body to get used to its new normal.

What helped was that I was still taking 1mg of klonopin at night. After about 4-5 nights, I was sleeping normally again. Are you/can you take more at night than in the morning? Or can you replace a night dose (if you're taking that) with an additional medication to help you sleep?

Best of luck. Lack of sleep can affect everything, I hope you're able to sleep soon.

yes the decrease inklonipin can do that. I am hoping that you are tapering down small steps not a big jump down. Do you have any extra to do just that?
it sounds like you changed doses to quickly.
good luck, hope this makes sense.

I can't sleep.

it's a mixture of my imsomnia, and my back (always in pain)

also the part of my brain that's meant to send me signals to say time to rest doesn't do that

sort of weird

I would bet the vast majority here would say there sleep is poor ... either in quality or time ...

someone once said we do not have a mental issue ... we have a sleeping issue (disease) ... I agree

When I was tapering off klonopin NOTHING helped me sleep. I was total insomniac despite being exhausted. Are you tapering too quickly? I would slow down until you can sleep again.

Are used to suffer from chronic insomnia. I had a sleep study done which really opened my eyes. Sleep studies are not only for people with apnea they helped define and determine other sleep issues. Since then I've trained myself with a good sleep hygiene routine.

Have you had any sleep yet? Four days is too long.Your brain needs it. Is there anything you can take to help even a little? I hope sleep finds you ASAP.

If I take sleep meds I get about five or so hours but without I cannot sleep. It's frustrating as I would rather sleep naturally.

You are right, we all need sleep. I was in the chat room last night and someone there said that most people there at night can't sleep. I feel sorry for them. They seemed fine with it.
