remembering what it takes to keep me on the straight path .... sometimes when the stress is overwhelming I have to revert back to the one thing that makes sense of life to me ... and I have today ...
I was wondering if you were at the abiss what pulled you back .... a memory , a smell , a sound , (the abiss is just all encomprising ... bad day to edge of ... , ) music (video ) is and has been my saving grace ... 3 hours worth non stop ... don't know if I feel better or just tired out ... either way will help with sleep .... |

Reading is my go too. I can escape whatever is pulling me to the edge.

Playing guitar, reading, sleeping. Nothing is more cathartic for me than cranking up my amp and just making some noise.
Also, sometimes a quiet space can bring me back. No distractions. I wish I could still get away with doing this but...when I was a kid, I used to hide my head under the cushions and pillows of my couch when things got to be too much. I could stay like that for a long time. It was my own world that nothing could shatter. __________________ Dust in the breeze it always comes Blocking out the Sun Up from the Ashes a Phoenix flies https://psychcentralforums.com/creat...er-s-rags.html https://psychcentralforums.com/creat...innocence.html |

I try to read some comics, graphic novels or do some blogging (or journaling). also, going for walks, and getting some fresh air may help. even meditation helps me. I have apps on my phone for white noise, calm and ambient sounds that centers me and brings me back.
also, try doing some simple tasks like making your bed, cleaning or calling a friend or family member. watch a funny movie, video or read a funny book. hope this helps. all the best! |

Being out in Nature brings me back, even when it's frigging cold. Being near water, watching animals, looking at plants.
Hope you feel better, Tigger, and that music is giving you sweet dreams. |
