I would like to thank BirdDancer for being a consistently informative and stabilizing presence for bipolars. She brings us important observations and solid research. Tho bipolars can easily be all over the place in terms of direction, she gives us facts to guide us. You’re the best,BirdDancer. THANK YOU!!!

You're both so sweet! I'm glad you don't mind my research, and find it useful.
I must confess that research and posting can be slightly obsessive pastimes of mine. I think some people really like/appreciate it and others not so much. Twice on Reddit.com on subreddits unrelated to mental illness, I've actually had people refer to such posts of mine as "unhinged" and that my enthusiasm was "over the top". I guess part of me laughed, and part of me realized I went way overboard. I suppose there were some people that disagreed with the people that gave my writing those labels. On Reddit.com, unlike here, you can see down votes. Good or bad? I think both, though maybe not on a forum where there is a special need for a safe and supportive environment. And of course lack of response can itself seem like a down vote, when it may not be. Not long ago, I wrote a very lengthy and passionate history of the food "pork roll", and its name on a particular subreddit. I thought of deleting it, but I just couldn't. At other times, I have deleted things that I wrote. Anyone who has been annoyed, rather than helped or interested, by anything I wrote/write, please forgive me. My bipolar disorder itself has been a cause for great, horrible, excessive, controversial, and beloved things I wrote. It's also been a cause for my mediocrity. My personality, ditto on all of the latter-mentioned. Sometimes I just make a mistake. Sometimes I succeed. C'est la vie! I obviously don't just share facts. I know I share a lot of opinions, too. Some not always agreed with, and some that have infuriated or triggered others. I understand that my opinions are just mine, and I do try to keep an open mind about others' views/opinions. I believe that variety is good, as long as it is good-intentioned. I think it's an interesting time we live in where "facts" are considered "not facts". That's sort of scary, to me. It's also so interesting that many factors in life can create vastly different points of views and attitudes. Nature and nurture are key in all of this.
