Hi, new bipolar afflicted person here. I was diagnosed 19 years ago with bipolar type 2, rapid cycling - still not found the right meds.
I've been dealing with a lot of mixed episode nonsense this past week, and it would be nice to socialise (if only online) with other people who know what it's like to live with this horrible bipolarity bs. I also have GAD and struggle quite a bit with agoraphobia - I left the house only 6 times in 2018, 5 times so far this year though, so this is an improvement Looking forward to getting to know some other not-so-normal people - it's been a while. |

Welcome!!
You will not feel alone here. Many of us experience similar things to what you are describing and you’re right - it’s exhausting. I hope that you find some relief and meet some great people here. |

Hello lightly toasted: Welcome to Psych Central. Based on what you wrote, it sounds like social anxiety is something you've struggled with. There's a sub-forum, here on PC dedicated to that subject. Here's a link:
https://forums.psychcentral.com/soci...ective-mutism/ And then here are links to 6 articles, from Psych Central's archives, on the subject of bipolar disorder in general & BP 2 in particular. The first article is by our host Dr. John Grohol, Psy.D.: Bipolar Disorder: Symptoms, Types & Treatments Bipolar Disorder, Anger, and Self-Loathing What Bipolar II Disorder Really Looks & Feels Like How Bipolar II is Different | Bipolar Laid Bare https://psychcentral.com/blog/bipola...understanding/ https://blogs.psychcentral.com/bipol...in-bipolar-ii/ I hope you find PC to be of benefit. __________________ "I may be older but I am not wise / I'm still a child's grown-up disguise / and I never can tell you what you want to know / You will find out as you go." Welcome to PC!!
I have GAD and agoraphobia too. I'm very slowly working on it, like at least going partway down my driveway. It doesn't help that I live in a crowded townhouse development. |
