Hi! I'm new here.
I just wanted to ask you something.
When having what I call a crisis, does your brain feel like it's having electric shocks?
I swear that's what it feels like. I also get confused and don't understand anything. It's like a thunderstorm in there.

Welcome to Psych Central, HCZero! Have you been getting off of a drug? Drug withdrawal symptoms can include a sense of electric shock feelings in the brain.

I had a weird headache at the back of my head where the brain meets the neck for days before my last major episode. I also felt popping in my head. I wasn't on any meds at the time.

Welcome!

Actually yeah. Now that I think about it. There was an error with my prescription and the doctor told me she couldn't make another one for Neurontin or Gabapentin. So I'm off that med for a month because of that error. They give me that cause I'm diabetic and I have peripheral neuropathy.

Welcome!
Maybe it's that one med I'm off for the moment cause of an error with my prescription. Neurontin. I get headaches too but feeling that weird electricity it makes me uncomfortable. Yeah the popping too, it's horrible.

Well my doctor's son, who is a doctor too, made me a prescription. When I took it to the pharmacy they said that my health plan doesn't accept prescriptions from another doctor who's not my primary doctor, which is bs. So I got frustrated and threw it away and called the doctor to make me a new one. She said she couldn't make me a new one cause that one was already made and I threw the other one away. She told me that the health plan was wrong about the other prescription. I have to wait now til the 29 to get the new prescription. My health plan is horrible and they have so many errors in the system but they don't fix them.

Welcome, HCZero! I'm so sorry you're hurting so much I have never experienced this so unfortunately I don't have a lot of advice to give to you! I agree with what all the other wise, wonderful posters have already wisely said better than I ever could! You've been given lots of great, wonderful advice on this thread! I'd suggest to follow it as much as you can! From what you wrote it may very well be quitting your meds that is causing all of this! I'd suggest to talk to your Pdoc about this and see how it goes from there! Hopefully he will be able to help you! I hope you'll be able to find the right meds combination for yourself soon! You deserve to get better and to feel good! You deserve to live an happy, fulfilling life just like everyone else does! Please keep us updated as much as you can and let us know how it goes! We all care about you here! We all love you here! Feel free to vent and write here as much as you need and want! You know we won't judge you here! I promise you that! I'm glad you've found this wonderful forum to share your feelings! Please don't give up hope! Try to hang on as much as you can! You're a strong, wonderful person! We ALL know that! PLEASE REMEMBER THAT! Remember that we're here for you if you need it! Feel free to PM me anytime! Let me know if I can do something to help you! Wish you good luck! Let us know how it goes! I'm so sorry you have to deal with all of this
