Hi new on here! Wanted to know if anyone is my age 61 and struggling with an eating disorder. Went to Pych Dr. this week and he was concerned with my weight loss since the last time he saw me. Hoped he wouldn't notice I guess. I tend to restrict when I feel my life is out of control. Am having quite a bit of stress lately within family. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm 35. I restrict but I drink my calories. I have shake mix that I put dried peanut butter in and just gulp it down. It's 8 oz but gives me a lot of nutrition.

I'm 60 and don't have an eating disorder per se, but I do eat compulsively and am seriously overweight. There's another gal here, her user name is blueberrybook, and she is very helpful regarding EDs. Welcome to PC, and I hope you enjoy your time here.

I've lost 55 pounds since July, maybe more at this point. I started portion controlling because my stress levels have gone through the roof over my child's father.

He and I are experiencing a lot of life changing issues together. We're in the middle of going our separate ways even though we've never been in a romantic relationship.

Anyway if I think about him for too long I can't eat even though I'm hungry. I'll usually go to bed with no dinner (like meat and side dishes) I'll eat candy (chocolate) for comfort with water only.

Since starting Lamictal I can binge (no purge) at night sometimes, but I continue to stress and lose weight.

I was recently diagnosed with Lupus which has completely devastated me and it's another reason I'm not eating like I used to.

Current Meds: Lamictal (300mg) and I'll probably be upping my dose soon.

I turn 25 in June and am recovering from bulimia. Took a huge wake up call recently for me to be willing to make changes

I have anorexia I remember first restricting food at age 9. It will rear its ugly head until the day I die I imagine.

When I was working out a lot years ago I'd chew food and spit it out in the sink. Now I'm just fat. Trying to rectify this by exercising and eating better.
