Down with the flu. Day 5. I’ve had to resort to using my puffer just to breathe.

Oh no I’m so sorry you caught that nasty mess..push fluids constantly. If your puffer isn’t working well enough please see a doctor, dont go over the recommended dose, people have died doing so.

Be safe and feel better

Thanks Christina. I’m throwing every med option I can into getting on top of it. I know there’s a chance that they may not be compatible with BP but breathing is my priority at this moment.

I have been on & off meds since i was 12/13, now at that age of course i had no problems other than them never working. 1.5yrs ago i decided to give yet another combo of meds a try.. I barely eat, walk a mile a day and do pilates 3-5 times a week.. Still i have gained 60 lbs😔 Im 5ft tall so 60lbs looks like 80+
So Niw my self esteem is at a dramatic record low due to the weight and the consequences tgat arose from it! My psychiatrist sees me every 3 months and keeps saying lets keep trying the meds. I say as politely as i can that they absolutely dont do a damn thing! Well other than make me gain weight of corse. I have finally decided to just give up on the damn pills for good and would rather deal without themnanyway i can ,thats healthy that is, Or if god willing im able i want ect. The risks dont bother me and cant hurt me anymore than trying med after med only to have them do nothing at all.
Im sorry i needed to vent i guess😶 Hope others out there have better luck than this...

Yes I’m still in a big flare Asthma wise over 3 weeks now.

I dread the thought of more steroids. But we have added an extra puff of Symbicort daily and no help.

But yeah a girls gotta breath !

My sleep has gradually decreased to 5 hours a night. Although I’m not tired during the day, I’d prefer 7-8.

Woke up this morning feeling sick to my stomach and light headed. Focusing on feeling better as I have NP and hair appointments later this morning.

I moved to taking Geodon every third night. Everything is mostly ok so far. I am dreaming constantly while I sleep though and the dreams are vivid. A few of them have been violent and disturbing. I'm going to take a short nap today because I'm feeling a little run down.

My kidney area has been aching for the past few days when I wake up in the morning. I am hoping I don't have an infection. I've been drinking tons of water as soon as I wake up and the pain goes away after a few hours. Hopefully I can flush out whatever the cause of this is.

I got 6 workouts in last week and I'm done with my workout for the day today. I have a busy week, but I plan to stay on track.

I hope everyone has a healthful week!

I am sorry you have been so ill. It can be so challenging to find enough relief for breathing difficulties without aggravating BP, as you know all too well. I also encounter this challenge.

I hope you feel better with each passing moment.

Tired. Day after day I have to keep lying down because I'm falling asleep all over the place. I try to take a walk, but I feel off balance and like I might fall asleep while walking. This is either med hangover (Abilify and Cogentin), broken sleep (sleep between 9p.m. and 10a.m., but awake between about 1 and 4), or both. It's really frustrating to me...feels like I don't have much of a life.

So yesterday, I told my husband that I was happy that at least our vacation was falling a good week before my monthly period was likely to start. Then today, heck if I didn't have it start. It sure seemed mighty early! I remembered writing something about my last one here. Sure enough, I found my mention on page 49 on September 10. I mentioned I had had it for three days. So that means this period started only about 17 days after my last one started. Kinda early, indeed! Who knows why. Anyway, I feel kind of miserable.

Hubby was doing his work in the house because it was chilly outside, and windy. We both sat at the dining room table with a nice view out the window, but we sat for hours on the uncomfortable dining room chairs. I even put a pillow behind my back, but nevertheless my back is aching. I decided to just go to bed. He's still at the table working.

We had to go to the pharmacy because I was not prepared for what came early. Luckily all us ladies generally have at least a couple things in our pocketbooks.

Boo hiss!

I've gained about 25 lbs from meds (and possibly due to hormonal changes from menopause). I've had to buy new clothes. I am supposed to taper off of Remeron once I've tapered up on Lamictal, so I'm hoping I can lose weight then. I lost 7 lbs pretty quickly (in a week or two) when I stopped Remeron before. I'm exercising as much as I can; I walked for 30 minutes yesterday and today I worked out at the gym. My cholesterol is high and I wonder if my meds contribute to this. I often struggle with low energy and even take a stimulant to help this but it doesn't always help. I'm hanging in there!

Here's another interesting video from Dr. Tracey Marks. She discusses a diet that is helpful for depression. I know my mood suffers when I eat a lot of sugar and processed foods. This seems to support that. She also mentions the role inflammation plays in depression. I've read a number of studies that suggest fish oil supplements are helpful. They fight inflammation, so it makes sense that taking one would help. Anyway, I thought this might be helpful for anyone struggling with depression who is also willing to make diet changes.

Overwhelming sedation is a big problem, does your Pdoc understand how much trouble your having with it??! Sometimes they don’t really “ hear”!what we are saying until we press it a bit.

Hopefully you will be able to get good solid unbroken sleep soon.
