Yesterday was the anniversary of my brother-in-law's death. So today we're having lunch with my in-laws to honor his life.

I'm doing well. I'm taking care of my father while my mother is gone. I feel good. I have much to do though. I exercised this morning and yesterday. Now, I have to do much housework but I enjoy doing it so it is not a problem.

I totally spring cleaned my main bathroom. I feel so happy about that! The only undone thing there is pulling down the glass light shade and cleaning it. It's rather high up. I'll ask hubby to get it down and put it back up again.
I did a lot in the kitchen, trimmed the lilac bush, and prepared all of the meals. Tomorrow my husband and I will stain the deck. That will be a killer of a task. By mid next week it will be ready for furniture. We're buying new. We had a deck fire last year. Then I want to finally plant the herbs and lots of flowers. We'll have the prettiest deck on our street. Also, the bird seed feeder will come down and the hummingbird feeder will go up. |

Went to a fun MeetUp today, and bought a goodie (it was a pop up market). Then walking to the bus, I tripped on the sidewalk and fell on my head. Literally. Good grief I am such a clutz. Cut between my eyebrow and temple. My thigh/hip area hurts too, and even though it seemed to happen in slow motion, I'm not sure what I did. I think I landed on my leg before my head crashed down. Went straight to the optician as my (new!) glasses got torqued. Fortunately they were able to fix them. Pretty embarassing. Feeling a little off and woozy. I'll keep an eye on it. Sheesh.

We had plans to prep for and start staining our deck this morning, but when we woke up there was a torrential downpour. That wasn't even in the forecast. It's sunny now and getting hotter. We're going to Home Depot to buy some things, including maybe deck furniture. Our old furniture went up in flames during our deck fire last year. Some of it, except rocking chairs, needed replacement anyway.
We spent the morning doing some spring cleaning tasks. My bathroom is perfectly clean. Every bit of it, including cabinets and drawers. Cleaning the lamps there led to cleaning all of the bathroom lamps and the kitchen ceiling lamps. |

Doing the laundry at the moment. Made a bunch of tea, some cookies and roasted more red peppers for sauce. Later in the week I’ll probably roast a chicken and turkey breast so we’ll have cooked meat for salads.
Took an antihistamine so feeling better. Don’t feel like rubbing my face off. Have dietician and T tomorrow. Have fasting labs Tuesday morning. Also need new shoes to exercise in. I can run in the basement in my skivvies but I need decent shoes! Love to all of you! |

Kitty is doing much better today - hearty appetite and no diarrhea overnight!
I'm wiped. I'm sleeping(thanks to meds) and doing only essential housework, but this is the nature of my bipolar and anxiety disorder; I put in 100 percent effort-wise, but the results are only 20 percent of what others achieve. Life is exhausting. |

RS and I signed the lease today!! We are officially renters of a house. I’m so happy and excited. We went and bought furniture for the home too. A sofa, end tables, coffee table and recliner. And on Wednesday RS is going to go back and buy the nice dining table set we saw.
Went to a fabulous outdoor concert yesterday. It was amazing! It was a lineup of eight different bands. I got to see bad wolves, JOAN JETT(!!!), evanescence, fozzy, the struts, Amon others. It was so amazing. I got sunburned to hell but it’s ok because the weather was beautiful. It was so nice to be outside and listening to all the great rock. I got a little behind on my school work this week so next week I have to make sure I keep up with it a little better. Thankfully for most of the summer I’ll be off from school so I won’t have to worry about it with my camp job. My camp job doesn’t end until 5pm so it would be difficult to get home, make dinner, and then work on school work. Oh, and I also got an official assignment at work! I’m no longer a floater and I don’t lose my job. Yay! __________________ Of course it is happening inside your head. I just found my external hard drive! Its got my digital pix on it. I want to send some of them to my penpal but I need a computer to do it- only one that works is my 19 year old's laptop and she's not sharing. Ugh. Teenagers.

It has been a great weekend. We got a lot of landscaping and gardening projects done. We also played a lot with the kids and everyone is in good spirits. Summer is here where I live. Iy will be in the 90s several days next week. I miss the cooler weather already.
My kids will be in a day camp for a few days next week, so I'll have a lot of time to myself. I'm looking forward to getting a lot done while they play. I hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Hugs to all that want or need them. |

My wife was given a couple of three-day passes to the BottleRock music festival happening next weekend. So I'm going from ECT in the morning to a rock concert in the evening on Friday the 24th. We'll be seeing Imagine Dragons and One Republic. There are other performers but those are the two groups I'm excited to see. I hope I'm not too messed up from the morning's treatment to appreciate it.

I've been sleeping 12-14 hours a day. Doc says I'm depressed, but I say it's the meds. Maybe it's both. I want to go hiking, but it's hard when I'm waking up at noon and don't really get moving until 2pm. And that I'm going to an IOP most days of the week. I need to find something I actually enjoy doing and can do otherwise I will be depressed.

It was nice to read a lot of good news here today. To those still struggling, you'll get past the challenges.
Hubby and I did nothing on the deck. We did continue cleaning projects inside and spent some money at both Home Depot and Lowes (soil, flowers, herbs, cleaning tools, pillows). We also spent a lot of money in Trader Joe's. We looked at deck furniture, and decided on it, but will order it online to be delivered, along with an umbrella. That should hopefully give us time to do the staining. Our deck will look *****in'. It is always the prettiest on the street. Nobody else seems to care as much. I am a bit angry at my husband. It was about 4 pm when he announced that his work colleague was coming over at 7:30 pm. I don't like when he doesn't check with me about having people over. It wasn't for dinner, but still, I want more notice and a possible chance to veto such visits. I was so overheated and tired when we got home. My medication makes me overheat easily. Then I was rushing to scrub the kitchen floor and wash leftover dishes before she came. She's here now. I let them work on the project in the basement alone, but she asked if I will go down to join. Of course I said "yes". As I finish typing this, I'll be dragging my *** downstairs. |

I didn`t leave the house weekend but I got a few things that I needed to do around the house. I washed my bedding and cleaned my bedroom. I also cleaned my turtle`s tank . I did most of that on Saturday. Today I visited with my nieces and my younger sister. My nieces stayed over and we were just hanging out. One of my nieces and I had a pretty good talk. I am so proud of her. Tomorrow I have a visit with the psych nurse and later on in the week I have a therapy appointment. Not much else going on. I hope you all had Aa great weekend and I hope you all have a great week!

I survived the weekend!!!! It actually went quite well. Hubby was away but I got through both days and both bedtimes without any major issues and got an average of 8 hours sleep for the first time in a month!
It’s Monday now, first day of my new diet so hungry and grumpy but it’s better than I expected. Now sitting in my favourite chair rocking my sleeping baby 👶❤️ __________________ I can do all things through him who gives me strength |

I'm struggling with feelings of shame from things I've done during mania. When I feel this way, my mind goes to a really dark place. Also, I've been having some bad, recurring dreams. I had bad stomach problems over the past 2 days and did not take one of my medications, so I think that's also messing with my mood. I have a lot to do tomorrow, and I'm feeling overwhelmed. I feel so tired and have no energy, but it's hard to sleep, because my mind is running.
Hugs to all. __________________ Bipolar 1 Disorder, Unspecified Anxiety Disorder |

I borrowed my mom's laptop and spent 4 1/2 hours+ making a new folder called "Favorites" of my photography. Almost 200 photos out of the 3,800 I went through to find them. Next on the agenda: search through my external hard drive and take NEW pix!

My husband's (hypo) manic. He's choosing to ride it out as of right now. Sorry he corrected me If he's really obnoxious or it turns bad he will call. I will not allow him to drive. He sees his T in 18 days. to long in my opinion. I just have to put my stuff aside.

Today is a lovely looking day again. It was too hot for my taste yesterday, and will be almost as hot today, but tomorrow and Wednesday should be milder truer spring weather.
The hot weather makes me overheat. I do believe my medications contribute to this. At least it says some might in side effects lists. Sometimes without water I feel I may even pass out, but I never do. My state can get so hot and humid in the summer. I'm not fond of summer weather! Wednesday is my 21st wedding anniversary. Hubby is taking that day off. We decided to stain the deck then, which will likely be a killer task. I might continue spring cleaning projects today. I see my psychiatrist on my anniversary day. I think I will have positive news about the Latuda. Other than overheating when physically busy and especially outside, I really do feel better than I have for a long time. I believe I may return to the French lessons after all. I haven't scheduled another yet. I'm going to only take on one new formal obligation at a time. Whenever I try two, I become sick. |
