I saw my PDoc this morning for my mood swings and mixed states. he took me off of the remeron right away. he seemed to think that it was causing my mixed states, mood swings and hypomania. he also increased my geodon by 20 mg and put me on zolpidem as well for sleep. he knew from last Friday's visit with my T that I wasn't quite right. I totally freaked my T out with my hypomania. he'd never seen me like that. unfortunately, I wasn't able to see my pdoc until this morning.

my pdoc is old school, too. he thinks long and hard about med changes and factors in side effects. also, benzos are taboo with him for some reason. I dunno. I did actually get some sleep last night (about 4 hours) and woke up pretty level with no mood swings whatsoever. I was a bit elevated during my pdoc visit, though, but it passed shortly afterwards. my mood stayed pretty much straight and narrow all day. I even had some coffee which did not trigger me at all. no anxiety whatsoever.

I had to take my wife to get back injections today and I was pretty glad to be level and on an even keel the whole time. I really wanted to be there for her without having any mood swings or episodes. it meant a lot that I was able to keep it together for her. well, that's about it. zolpidem tonight and I already took my increased geodon at dinner time. it can only get better from here, right? hope everyone is well!

I'm glad you checked in today, Jedi. I was wondering how it went. I hope this new combo does the trick.

thank you! this past episode was a wild ride indeed. hands down one of my worst and the remeron didn't help. my pdoc may be old school but he is on top of his game. he is still rather new for me, but he is highly regarded at the practice. sometimes the old guys just know their stuff. so, I'm hoping this does the trick. I appreciate the kind thoughts!

It's so great that you were able to get in quickly after the weekend. Also that you could support your wife during the shots. My husband will be doing the exact same thing next Friday!

Be mindful with that zolpidem...it can be very potent! Very quickly....

Ok good. I might even say just "be ready" for bed when you've taken it...like, teeth brushed. Etc. Try not to mix with alcohol. Etc. Nagging over!
