does anyone ever get triggered by boredom? I get bored at times especially when my wife is at work, and even when I try to keep busy with various things, I still get bored when things are quiet. and I get antsy and it's hard to cope with. my mind starts to get racy (and I get occasionally depressed), and I feel like if it goes unchecked, it could lead to bad choices. anyone have suggestions for curing boredom before it becomes a trigger? just putting it out there. just curious.

I'm the same as you when I get severely bored I start seeking risky behaviour. I think it's always been like that. I don't have any help for you just wanted to say yup I'm the same. I'm currently going through this at the moment

I don't think I'd ever admit that I'm " bored", though their probably has been times in the past where I've felt exactly like that. someone who doesn't work or get out much is bound to have those times, but I prefer to call them times with nothing to do.. I don't know why, but the word / feeling of being bored seems so childish to me
I'm in my 30's. I'm not going to sit their and go out loud i'm bored like a child |

When I was unemployed, I felt bored and depressed. I think it might help to have some kind of routine, like a hobby or volunteer activity. I used to take yoga classes every day to get myself out of the house.

I actually feel the opposite, I seem to never get bored, I feel like there's not enough hours in the day for everything I want to learn and do. I have so many interests that I can always keep myself occupied, which partly why I don't like going to sleep. I wish sleep wasn't required

I rarely get bored which is good because it brings my mood down. I keep a pretty tight structure/routine to my day so I don’t get bored.

I try to set up a schedule of things to do after I take my daughter to work. walk, color, listen to music etc. now yoga sounds cool. I've taken up volunteering and it helps tremendously, but there are times...
