Once I settled the work stress I have been doing much better. My T and my mom both say I look and sound better. So even though as I was doing the infusions it didn’t feel like it was working now apparently it was. Might be a little on the hypomanic side because my only issue now is sleep I am in a much better place. No more daily suicidal thoughts for the first time in years. I am about 8 weeks out since the last treatment. Dr said I might need a booster between 6-8 weeks but so far so good.

Hi Crook32! I am happy to read that you are feeling better and that Ketamine seems to be yielding a positive result. I hope it continues to do so for you.
I have never personally tried Ketamine, but I have a friend with bipolar disorder that just today expressed her excitement about her Ketamine treatments. She is extremely treatment resistant and has been hospitalized so many times, including recently for three weeks. I will respond to her message to me shortly and let her know that another person (you) is also optimistic about it. |

If Ketamine treatments were available where I live in Canada I would definitely try it and even pay for treatment. Unfortunately it is not possible in most cases to pay for treatment in Canada that is not available in the publicly financed system. I read some news about a nasal spray.
My depression is treatment resistant and long lasting. I'm almost always depressed, it is just a matter of degree. I would be willing to try it to get a break from depression. I am really glad to hear that it is working for you and that your life and work is going ok. Thanks for keeping us all posted on your outcome. __________________ BP 1 with psychotic features 50 mg Lyrica 50 mcg Synthroid 2.5 mg olanzapine |

That's very interesting. Could you find out if she is paying for it privately or if it is in a clinical trial or is funded by the province? I was not able to find anything by google search. __________________ BP 1 with psychotic features 50 mg Lyrica 50 mcg Synthroid 2.5 mg olanzapine |

I'll ask. I might hear back soon or in a couple of days. She's not always quick to respond.
