My lip was twitching earlier. Wondering if its from the Haldol... I'm still exhausted. Slept till 11 then took an hour nap a couple hours later!

Could be I guess. Meds do strange things but it could also be a coincidence. I take Haldol when very unwell and the only side effect I get is after six days on it my vision gets blurry so I need to go off it for a few days and do it all again if still necessary. It works well for me but the vision thing makes it an impossible ongoing med. I now take Geodon for psychosis, and to prevent it.

I don't know, Moose. Lip twitching is something that people can get from innocent causes, even such as caffeine. Do monitor it carefully, though, and let your psychiatrist know asap if it persists. If it's the Haldol, I wonder if it's a dystonia or similar. I once had brief involuntary lip puckering from Navane (thiothixene), which is also a 1st generation antipsychotic. It stopped when he lowered my dose.
I remember in my youth having a frequent twitch just below my eye. It was weird. I felt it and saw it clearly. I have no idea what caused that. I had never even taken medications at those points. |
