Today I feel...

Possible trigger:

...pissed that the new system ate my post and I have to rewrite it. I feel pissed that we took pix after the graduation and I look twice as big as I should- totally unflattering dress, totally unflattering body in general. Even before the photos, we were in the 2nd balcony in the front and my mind wandered to climbing over the railing.... falling to my death- or at least mangled dismemberment. We went out to eat after and I ate too much. Everyone was looking at me saying what a fat cow I am. Especially the bikers outside looking into the brightly lit table we were sitting at by the window. I'd rather be off seroquel again. I hate this. Last time I felt this way, I was hospitalized. And its my fault. All of it.

I agree with Bizi, none of this is your fault. You are also worthy of love and being happy no matter what your physical appearance is. It really sucks that the med options often have these side effects. Also I hope no one was actually saying those things about you, because if so I wish I could have had some words with them!! If you are feeling unsafe please get some help and don't wait for it to get worse. I hope the feeling passes soon for you. By the way congrats on the graduation and having three kids who graduated!

Yes I can quit it. Pdoc will have a bird, though- i just had mania 6 weeks ago.

Though I am over weight that is because I drank fattening

I looked at some of your photos. You are really pretty and the kids are so cute.....I am sure they have grown up well. one of the pictures one of the boys has piano hands, they look pretty big.

I also feel your pain. I'm on Seroquel too and have tried dieting about 30 times. It's just not possible. The hunger is too intense. I see my doctor tomorrow and am going to ask to get off Seroquel now that i'm on a mood stabilizer. I've fatted out of clothes with waistbands. I've bought five simply cut sleeveless dresses and i wear them with men's t-shirts. They sure are comfortable!

I saw a dietician 4 years ago. Eat more fruit and veg and exercise 3x/week.

Mightve been my youngest- he has piano hands and does play the piano.

I tried Geodon many years ago. I didnt like it. But I could be convinced to try again maybe.

Can you talk to your pdoc about switching from seroquel to something else. Maybe Geodon or just more haldol?

I'm so sorry. I totally understand and hate body image issues. For me, I'm always fat or fatter, seems like it never really is good enough. I am lucky with the Seroquel not messing too much with me, though maybe some as I now have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, which, yes, could have resulted from my ED, but my bad cholesterol did start trending up once I regularly started Seroquel...waiting on the next cholesterol numbers...sigh. I just overexercise, I think, so I don't gain, or maybe I don't eat as much because of post-operative ulcer stuff. Still isn't good.

I'm sorry you're going through this. I know it sucks

Maybe. I had an issue with geodon years ago. Its like Im stuck.

So its a lie that if I lose weight I'll get rid of the fatty liver....

You might help your liver situation...who knows? I can just speak for my circumstances. Since I've gotten cholesterol bloodwork starting sometime in my 20s, I have always been underweight/thin/low-normal weight. Liver situation is still sucky. And I don't drink either. I've had maybe 5 alcoholic drinks in my life (each a one drink occasion). Though I did overdo NSAIDs, leading to my ulcer issues.

Same here- don't drink and had high cholesterol (except when I ate high-salmon, high-fiber foods.

There is no cure for a fatty liver. I have this also.
