This is an email I sent today...
Dear Longtime Email Pal, I am making changes! Im changing my diet - not necessarily to lose weight, but to heal my liver. I have fatty liver disease. I think its due to antipsychotics - but there has to be a healthy balance! If the diet doesn't work I don't know what to do. Trying to exercise and keep a regular sleep schedule. Maybe my migraines will decline in number? I see my liver specialist in 2 months again. Last time I saw him my liver enzymes were back to normal but being on Seroquel I'm not so sure they've stayed that way. I'm also technically obese- but this is NOT about looking good; it's about good health. Hopefully, my high cholesterol, and increased blood sugar will fix themselves along the way. I did this 15 years ago- I can do it again. Although last time, I just ate more fish and exercised more and my cholesterol remedied itself and I lost weight. Now, Im alergic to fish but so what? I WILL find a way. Period. I want to feel better. Bipolar treatment vs physical health- the conundrum of we bipolar folks. It CAN be done. It has to. Watch me! Loves ya~ Moose72 __________________ Wellbutrin XL 300 mg Loxapine 50mg Ingrezza 80 mg Ativan .5 mg 2x/day Propranolol 20 mg 2x/day Mania (December 2023) Mixed episode/Hypomania (September 2023) Depression, Anxiety and Intrusive thoughts (September 2021) Depression & Psychosis (July/August 2021) Mania (April/May 2019) |
