Yes. Sensory overload, more than once.

Have you ever complained to a practice, hospital, or state board (or else) about a medical/psychiatric/therapy provider?

I'm not really sure. Spending sprees are not a major symptom of my particular manias. I tend to exhibit impulsivity and disinhibition in other ways, more. Perhaps because I'm frugal by nature, that is a factor. In any case, I have had times when manic when I have spent a lot more than usual. I'd say in a given day, if you exclude usual big expenditures, perhaps $700 or so at most. I have been guilty of larger expenditures over a period of time. For example, when manic, I often set out on trips abroad. If you add up airfare, hotel, other transportation, and food, that goes well into the thousands of dollars. I never spent that far beyond my means, though. Often when I set out on adventurous trips, I did so "on a budget". For example, in the mid 1990s, I stayed in $5 per night hostels (sometimes with bed bugs) in Thailand and Hong Kong, and just ate soup (or similar) for lunch and dinner.

Q: Do you consider yourself fairly tolerant of medication side effects? Or do even minor ones bother you a lot?

I'm sensitive to all chemicals. Tiny doses affect me heavily. I don't even like taking headache medicine. I've had side effects from all of the psyc meds I've taken. Depakote was the worst. It made my heart beat 150bpm. Risperdal gave me crazy anxiety and made me lactate. Geodon makes me a zombie, but I'm now on the lowest dose they make and take it at night.

I just do not tolerate meds well. I'm even allergic to some. Benadryll makes my heart beat uncontrollably and I hallucinate on it.

What did you have for dinner?

Tater tots with ketchup. Lol, but for real. Went to a comedy thing and didn't want to spend much. Btw, they were the best tatertots I've ever had. Nice and crispy.

Do you like to sleep with a bit of light, or do you like/need total darkness?

I need a pitch black room to sleep well.

My husband use to turn the damn tv on so I’d wait 10 mins or as soon as I heard a snore and turned it off and then climbed in bed

How much time do you spend getting ready to leave the house? Make up Hair, etc ?

10/15 minits if that.

I don't really go for the whole princess look most of the time- most of the time I simply can't be bothered

if I spray perfume it's a good day...

question: how many cups of water (or any drink) do you have per day?

I don't really know, a lot. It's only 11am and I've had three of my 2L bottles so far and I'll probably have three more today. I pee a lot lol.

What's your favorite continent?

Around a liter and a half up to two liters when I am very thirsty. So, 6 to 8 US legal cups. I am often thirsty, plus it's good for me with my kidney situation.

Q: What healthy living chore or skill do you want to work on most?

I struggle with music with lyrics that support violence, hatred, crime, self harm, etc. Music is quite powerful and I don't like how I feel after consuming negatively oriented material. I don't mind sad music as much, but it isn't a go to for me.

What is your favorite type of music?

I really like soft jazz, lots of tinkling piano. But I listen to anything except country or polka music - can't stand either.

What is the tastiest supper/dinner/tea you've had so far this month?

Yes but that's because I have traveler's diarrhea and have had it for 6 weeks and I just don't feel good and don't have enough healthy calories in my body.

What is a bland food you can eat while sick?

Saltine crackers, white bread (not sour dough), plain waffles (Eggos, if you don't make homemade), or oatmeal. If you don't have nausea, add some PB and fruit to it. Applesauce and bananas are known to be helpful.

Have you tried any OTC meds for it? They help me, though I tend to have the opposite problem when traveling. I take an OTC for that, too. Usually 2 to 3 days on the OTC help. If not, a doctor may need to be consulted.

I was sick for 9 months straight with both of my pregnancies. I lived off of granny smith applesauce. I also took half of a Unisom for nausea. It is a sleep aid, but it works for nausea too.

My favorite season is fall. We usually kick off the season with an end of summer/beginning of fall beach vacation. I like the change to cooler weather and how crisp the air feels. The trees are amazing when they change. Football season begins. I enjoy how much my kids love Halloween.

I got sick last year in early November and got out of the hospital a week before Thanksgiving. It is usually my favorite holiday and my birthday falls sometime in the same week, but last year was hard. My mother in law was upset with me for the things I did during psychosis and disinvited me to Thanksgiving. We did a brunch and then my husband took my kids to his Mom's while I hung out with my dad. It was sad for everyone and I felt so rejected. I'm so thankful for.my Dad who was an absolute angel through everything. I was literally insane while in psychosis. I didn't consciously choose any of my actions. I was blacked out for most of it and yet I still had to be accountable. Most of my family understood. I wish my mother in law could have talked to me instead of being afraid of me. It still hurts, but I can forgive. I pray this year will be better. Thanksgiving is supposed to be the day when I cook a ton and eat and laugh with all of my family. It is also the day I put up my formal Christmas tree which I love to do.

Q. What is your favorite holiday?

Halloween. Autumn is my favorite season, the way the air feels is like waking up after the lethargy summer brings. And the leaves! But back to Halloween, I like the whole "play" feel to it -- dressing up in costumes, especially for adults. I dunno, it's just fun.

What is your favorite cool weather beverage?
