A: Pretty significant fracture to my left wrist playing basketball in college in NYC in 1986. It made taking notes pretty interesting the rest of the semester.

I'd like to think they will
I think life on mars is a strong possibility if not mars, hopefully another planet. I'd love to be able to journey in to space one day question: did you have an imaginary friend as a child? |

A: Yes. Soapie. No idea why I called her that. She didn't last very long as I recall; I think she was replaced by a kitten I called.......wait for it......Soapie!
Q: In honor of my night of bowel prep hell, have you had a colonoscopy? Don't forget the new recommendations are to start them at 45, unless you are lucky like me to start at 43. __________________ Bipolar 1, PTSD, GAD, OCD. I don't " enjoy" them, but I don't " dislike" them either. they can be interesting, but I don't make it a hobby to go to them.
question: is their a period in history that you wish you could have been around to see?. |

Yes, it is. My current, ongoing goal is to ride the complete form of this rather hilly trail, which is about 100 miles, in less than 7 hours. We'll see.

I don't.
I'm quite happy to " chance it". I really don't like needles when I was at school, one year they wanted to do it to me and I'm like oh, I've all ready had it I actually hadn't but they fell for it. lol. with that in mind, what's your funniest memory from childhood |

When I was about 6 or 7 years old, I had a female teacher who had a very bad temper, and likely disliked children. As I mentioned in the earlier post, I regarded homework as optional at that time. So one day she asked for my homework, and I told her I did it, but couldn't find it. That angered her and she started to yell at me that I should look for it. I pretended to look for my homework in my school desk. Of course it wasn't there. That further fueled her anger so she yelled "Well is it in your cubby!!!!" "I don't know," I said. "Well look for it!!!!" she screamed loudly. So I went to the cubby and kind of leafed through it. It was packed full of papers. She watched and her fury rose, so she pushed me aside and violently threw out all of the papers from my cubby onto the floor. I was shocked! Then she went to my desk and violently knocked it over so that all of the papers in there flew out, too. The violence made her scream. Then she yelled that I should go to the principal's office. I gladly did. I don't recall being scared. Just shocked. In the principal's office, I told him how violent she was and that she was scaring the other students and that she regularly made even the most popular boys in the class cry. He listened carefully and I think took me seriously. Then, after thinking what to say for a bit, he asked (in a calm way) if I had done my homework. To him, I was honest and said no, but that I still don't believe I deserved such an extreme behavior from the teacher. The principal nicely said "Well, C, how about going back to the class and ask her what you can do to make up for the homework." Though I sort of didn't want to, I did what he said. The teacher told me something, more calmly, and then I spent much time cleaning up the extreme mess that she made of my papers. I don't know if the principal ever said anything to that teacher, but I believe he was more concerned about her behavior than my not doing my homework and lying about it to her. I don't recall her being as violent and rageful in the future, at least not in my class. Note: I had done other "bad" things in school, and in her class (sent out into the hall, to the corner, had to write sentences 25 times on the board, was given the paddle, evening/weekend suspension, etc.) I was a little naughty, but definitely didn't think the above behavior was appropriate from a teacher. Comparatively, I'm a goody two shoes now...usually Next question for this thread is below. Quote:

wow, I can totally agree. that's a bit... extreme. if I had a teacher who got like that just because I didn't do homework, I'd seriously question if she was up to the task of being a teacher I remember 1 teacher at my school who would
Possible trigger:
the whole biting thing wasn't that nice, in fact it was kind of scary, but sometimes the way the other teachers handled it " now now medina, don't bite the children", it was like they were treating her like a child and then we had the math teacher who always said " and class, don't forget that a square has 3 sides" well 1 day someone (another teacher) overheard her and goes " actually, it's 4 sides. you should be ashamed of yourself.". I love talking about my school days yes, I think of myself as broken, or to be more exact, "alive without direction" in a video game that's just frozen. I don't know what to do, and anything I do do just makes me sad, I guess validating the point that life just doesn't work for me anymore. I can't handle it. question: what will you be doing this halloween. doing something or avoiding it as much as you can |

On Halloween, hubby and I will light our fireplace for the first time this season. It's our tradition. I love it! We skip the parties. Q: What was your favorite candy that you used to get in your Halloween bag/bucket as a kid? |
