I cut my own with a number 1. Easy.

How do you cope with your pain when you see things like this 75 year-old being assaulted by the Buffalo cops, now with a serious head injury?

I do not know

Are you ever unpleasantly amazed by some people’s (negative) predictability?

Yes. And that was quite catty . I do not like being “right’ about the darker side of human nature. And I am not always right, for which I am grateful.

If you had to read all of Freud’s works or Jung’s works, which would you read? Or both? Definitely both for me

I went to school with Jung's grandkids. I huess I would go with him.

Do you find it hard to read being bipolar?

Sometimes, but not always. It depends on what is going on in my head. Sometimes medications have played a part, but not all. It can also depend on if what is written keeps my attention. There is some fluff out there, or stuff I'm just not in the mood for. If I'm extremely interested in something, I can hyperfocus and get through pages and pages, even memorizing a good deal of it.

Q: What time do you start getting tired in the evening? What time do you usually fall asleep?

My sleep is very unpredictable. I woke up today at 7, felt great for 2 hours, became quickly exhausted for zero reason. Slept badly 'til 1. Wanted and needed to write, had tea, within an hour, totally wiped again. Back to bed--could not keep eyes open. Up again at 415, tried to watch a movie, back to bed again for 30 lousy minutes.

If You are American, what tools are you using to try not to completely freak out and be in a rage and crying all the time over what is happening in our nation now?

Lying down on my bed and focusing only on breathing air. When I get dragged away by thoughts, as I always do, I just focus again on breathing. I just do that over and over and over. Pretty soon, I feel better.

Who is your favorite painter of all time?

I felt great yesterday morning for maybe 45 minutes or so. That quickly ended.

Have you ever been to a tropical island before?

Q: Between cold weather and hot weather, which is your choice?

Cold, every time.

If you could move anywhere tomorrow, where would that be?

Hard question. I can't think of a living person I'd flirt with whose main occupation is writer, but I would flirt with comedians Steve Martin and Bill Murray, who have written books. I am quite into comedians, and they are writers, of sorts. I don't think Dave Chappelle has written a book, but I would LOVE to flirt with him. Great storyteller! Right up my alley!

Frankly, I flirt with many men many places I go.

Q: What type of comedy do you like most? If you can't identify a specific type, what comedy show or movie did you laugh at most?
