This is my introduction with a question...
I am bipolar 1. I have random auditory hallucinations (whispering), PTSD from prison and psychosis. My problem is that my halfdol hasn't been available for some months now. Pdocs are hard to come by as well. Guess my question is what else can I get other than haldol? Oh and hey y'all!! |

Welcome to the community. I have had such racing thoughts that I had for short periods of times had two voices speaking at the same time. Med's for it I am unsure.

Hello!
Welcome to PC! I hope you will find the information and the support you may be seeking. So glad you have jumped in. I am hoping to hear more from you in the future. While I do not experience auditory hallucinations, it is my my understanding a few atypical antipsychotic medications are available for these symptoms. Haldol is an antipsychotic med. AAPs are ATypical Antipsychotic meds, also known as second generation antipsychotics. There are several types if the AAP meds. Some sources claim the AAP meds are safer than the 1st generation antipsychotic Meds, like haloperidol (Haldol). Are you having difficulty with havingmeds prescribed and/or having difficulty obtaining the meds after they are prescribed? I hope we can help, even if only by supporting you at this time. __________________ May we each fully claim the courage to live from our hearts, to allow Love, Faith and Hope to enLighten our paths. |
