My mother passed away two years ago. The last year was an every day nightmare. Depression was bad. I could no longer take care of my mother. I moved her into a private home that takes care of the elderly. This is where she spent her last couple months. She had a couple seizures.

Anyway, when my daughter mentioned that two years have gone by, I started to feel really sad. I can no longer talk to her. I miss her. This is the first time I have felt this way since her passing. I guess its a type of "shell shock" that I am over with now. I just hope she is in a better place without her dementia. I hope she is happy once more.

Brother, I feel for you during this time of the year. Just have good memories of your mother. Just think of your childhood with your mother, not the end stages of her life.

Hi Tucson, I am so sorry for your loss. Our parents can mean a lot to us. I am sure I will be grieving a lot when losing my mom, should she go first. I have grieved for many years over the loss of my dad. I kind of understand some of what you are going through.

I hope you can cherish the good memories as you continue to grieve.

It's always nice to have you around.
