Hi downandloney. I think that for those that like chat rooms, it's great that PC has one. When I have visited chat rooms, I found them overwhelming. For me, it's like trying to hit 10 oncoming fast-moving balls with one racket. Also, sometimes there are side conversations going on and one can feel left out. It's just not my preferred venue for (and style of) communication.

Wild Coyote, being a forum facilitator/moderator is a special volunteer job and an often thankless and sometimes stressful one. Thank you for volunteering to do that. I was a facilitator/moderator for a once popular bipolar forum. I know that my fellow facilitators and I sometimes felt we couldn't seek support in our roles, but that wasn't true. I assume PC moderation is peer-led. Or am I wrong? The website forum I was a facilitator for was, similar to DBSA in-person groups.

Glad you found PC

Here’s a true fact .. I live in the middle of nowhere and can only get satellite internet and there’s a DATA LIMIT ... I know OMG!!! So the chat room just won’t work for me lol

You’ve been here much longer then I. I signed up in 2015 and quickly decided the site would be of no value. Boy, was I wrong! I took another crack at it in 2017 I believe and found kindred spirits.

I appreciate your advice and your kind comments. Here’s to another 8!

I’m so glad you gave it another whirl.

Christina, I don't even know how to put into words what a wonderful presence you are on these boards. and

It'll be 10 years(!) here for me this November. I remember how far you've come and when you changed your username to reflect that progress.

Just.... So, so, so much to you!!

You, Trippin, Anika , Venus .. just to name a few! You all just reached out and took my confused self right into the fold.

Yes my original name “MoreThingsWrong” it was so fitting at the time.

You all just started dogging me harder and harder and it was time for me to toss that pathetic depressing name lol

You have helped all along the way and still to this day you are always supporting me on good days and bad

I've been here for just over 7 years and Christina was one of the first members I met on this site. She helped me adjust to my diagnosis (I joined the very next day after I was diagnosed) even though she was in a world of hurt herself. I remember when she changed her user name too, it was a smart move. I'm so glad we're friends.

I know I haven't been posting as often as I once did, but I am so glad to have met you. I enjoy your sense of humor when it came to my health issues; I forgot that sometimes you have to laugh at the hand you were dealt. I know I am still a newish member to a lot of you; but you all were so helpful when I first joined that I don't know if I will ever be to think you all enough for that.

Christina I have always enjoyed your posts and support and here is for another eight years.

I've been here 6 years off and on, since my diagnosis in 2013. Sorry for disappearing but I was on too many meds and didn't care about anything for about 2 years.
I found this forum by accident, the same as some of you. I did a lot of reading at first, and said little, but I began to realize that what I felt and what I do is normal for people with bipolar 2. Then I began to participate in discussions. I was so happy to learn that what I feel is normal. All my life I've been out of place, but this forum is where people understand and help. ((((Hugs))))
