So sorry you guys are going through this! Your husband is in excellent hands! That said, you need to take care of yourself too so you DONT crash as soon as he starts to improve. If that means he gets hospitalized for a day or 2, so be it. If you don’t take care of you, then you can’t take care of him... big hugs!

Sorry to hear that.
I know nothing about ticks. I stay out of the woods etc -- not that I live near any woods anymore anyways. The worst bugs we get are giant cockroaches and giant waterbugs, and occasional scorpions. They are all nasty, creepy, slimy, and scary, but I don't think they're anywhere near as dangerous as ticks. And I know you've got rattlers down there too. Nature is scary! Hopefully you guys figure out what's going on. I hate waiting for answers. |

Hey everyone.
Dr called he does have pneumonia as I expected. His liver enzymes are elevated also. All his basic blood work is off of course due to infection further that just pneumonia. His temp last night went up to 102.6. If his temp goes to 103.5 I’m to take him to the hospital. We followup with our Doctor tomorrows, blood cultures we’ll be back. Not sure how long the tick titer test will take , I had it years ago and it seemed to take a while. So hopefully that’s improved. I’m so grateful he got blood work and X-ray done so we made it back to Dr’s office for a double shot of Rhocephin so at least it’s on board. He had painful urination that getting progressively worse, if he just gets unable to go, he will need a cath, another possible Reason for er I fully expect he will need to be admitted for IV antibiotics, vancomycin is my guess, and more fluids. I hope that this is sepsis and will be handled and it not go full septic shock , I’m actively stopping my brain from going ... there. He’s not quite as dizzy today so I’m not as panicked he will fall , but I do jump up when he gets up just as a safety precaution. I got bits of sleep here and there 30 - 45 mins , and my alarm was set hourly to check his temp and push his fluids. He has no desire for food , but he has to stuff it in anyway, his antibiotics require a large amount of food or he likely won’t keep them down. I’m handling this well , I always do. I spend 2 years while my Father was battling cancer staying on top of all his cancer meds while in the hospital and also at the time when he was lucky to be home. I’m use to major health crisis’s. __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

Christina- I am so worried for you. Everybody is right: you need some solid sleep. I understand why you feel you can't right now, but we dont need lack of sleep to activate your bipolar. My thoughts are with you. J-

Sending you some big hugs; so sorry you are going though this.
You both are in my thoughts tonight. I agree with others that you do need some sleep; even just little naps here and there are better than not having one. __________________ Generalized Anxiety Disorder Depression Symptoms of PTSD Trintellix 10mg once daily Buspar 10mg three times daily |
