Miguel's test results came back today. He has 3 diagnosis, all ranging from moderate to severe. Nothing shocking to us. His cognitive skills were average-above average. She convinced him try medication again. Is sending the results to our NP. He'll have her report in black and white to compare it to him medicated. She wants him back in therapy as soon as possible. Tomorrow we will make an appointment with NP. He will be on a combination of meds. She did not give a prognosis which is understandable because he was there.
I'm worried about him taking the medication as when he was younger the suggested medication had an adverse effect and he required even more medication for the side effects. I wont say anything because medication and therapy are his best chance to becoming who he wants to be. We'll see what NP says. DH is upset at himself for not pushing for a neurological exam earlier when they threw away all his Dx's when moving here. It took over a year to get this one done though. I will try to make sure he'll take it or talk to NP. I will have him program emergency numbers in his phone before starting the medication. __________________ Dx: Me- SzA Husband- Bipolar 1 Daughter- mood disorder+ Comfortable broken and happy "So I don't know why I'm tongue tied At the wrong time when I need this."- P!nk My blog |
