I think this has been answered before but I don’t remember.
Since my toxicity I have been managed only by 2 anti psychotics - Seroquel and Saphris. No mood stabiliser as such.
I feel well almost scarily well. The plan long term is to increase the Saphris and decrease Seroquel. (ECG changes due to Seroquel starting).
Interested in hearing experiences from anyone whose bipolar is being managed by AP’s.

I forgot to add that my nephrologist has put me on a couple of meds this week for my blood pressure. One of these is Atenolol. This is in the same class as Propanolol but stronger. So my anxiety is at an all time low.

Officially, I can't say I'm on an antipsychotic alone. I do also take Tegretol XR, Lamictal, and a tiny dose of Klonopin. However, I feel my powerhouse medication is my Seroquel XR. Seroquel XR is the only medication in my mix that is manipulated. It is raised or lowered when I head manic, mixed, depressed, and sometimes even anxious.

I'm not saying my other bipolar medications do nothing. My Tegretol XR dose is as high as it can be. Any more Lamictal and I'd likely become manic or at least hypomanic.

I also take a starter dose of Latuda (an antipsychotic). It's still uncertain what role that is having in my mix. I think more of an antidepressant.

Right now the only thing I'm taking daily is Invega with zyprexa as a PRN. I just started this after quitting all my meds so I don't know how well it'll work
