Hello, I am Bipolar II and currently depressed. I had to move from my appt. because of getting severely depressed and suicidal. Now i am living closer to my family. It is better since they can help me with day to day activities. I cannot cook, go shopping or enjoy things which I used to do. Eating, taking a shower, cooking are hard for me. I do not have a therapist because my insurance isnt accepted in most places.
I used to have a good therapist for about 15 years but now she refuses to answer my calls. I am really upset over that. She knows me so well and all my issues. I dont want to repeat all my problems to someone new. I need to get an appt. as well of my own, which seems impossible since I have bad credit. I dont know what to do??? I do not like my brother's appt. , because he likes to keep it messy. I tried to help him clean it and to get rid of things he doesnt need but he refuses. |

I am so sorry you are struggling, Birds. I was just wondering a couple of things. Are you currently on medication for your BP II? Do you have a current psychiatrist?
Have you looked into your county's mental health services? I imagine they would have some sort of sliding scale fee schedule for people who need assistance. You should definitely look into that. I got my care from a county for a year and a-half and it was very good. I did not feel short-changed in the least. And they had groups, as well, that I went to, some of which were excellent. Thinking of you and sending you positive vibes. __________________ When I was a kid, my parents moved a lot, but I always found them--Rodney Dangerfield |
