Tdoc says I tend to run fast. If I'm awake, I'm keeping busy. I don't take days off. What about you? What's your baseline like?

Sounds like you work hard. I have to keep busy. Sitting still is painful!

I run fast, too. Even if I am not moving my body, my mind is moving fast. I am more upbeat than most. I laugh a lot.
My psychiatrist has said on a few occasions that my baseline is mild hypomanic. I don't like to think of it that way. My baseline is me, not a disorder. |

It's hard to know. Before clozapine I tended to run mixed. Now I would say depressed but how much of that is sedation and how much is how I really am I do not know. I may know more as I taper off klonopin and then maybe some other meds/reduce doses. Right now I sleep 12 hours per day.

If zero is a content happy medium then my baseline flips between a minus 1 and a plus 1.

I think Bipolar wise I run more up than down.... but I have a lot of chronic pain numerous things and when that is bad my mood obviously goes down.
Yeah so it’s hard for me to really answer this __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

It really honestly don’t know how to answer. When I’m “stable” I tend to be content with life and very motivated.
I thought I e been stable right now but my anxiety is way out of control right now. __________________ Bipolar 1 w/psychotic features or schizoaffective bipolar type PTSD generalized anxiety OCD celexa, prazosin, Lybalvi and prn zyprexa and klonopin |

If I'm really honest about this, my 'baseline' is probably a little up and a little psychotic.

My baseline is a fairly steady stream of energy with a positive outlook on life and the activities of the day. Stress or other triggers can sway me slightly, but I hover in this type of mood most of the time.

Mildly depressed.
When I wake up, I'm lethargic, lazy, unmotivated, and generally not excited for the day to start. Once things start rolling, though, I can usually manage. I mean, I still may not be very motivated to do things and I may still be lazy, but I do get things done. I used to be very upbeat and happy prior to the onset of my bipolar around 14 y.o., but I've accepted that I'm never going to get that baseline back without the assistance of meds. (Right now, my baseline is good, but w/o meds, it's not.) |
