If you have another sleepless night is there a plan to make sure you sleep tomorrow?? Maybe a single dose of a sleep med like Ambein or something ?? Insomnia is expected when getting off many AP’s but a bridge is often needed to ensure sleep will happen or mentally you will just become more unstable.

It's a good suggestion but my Dr. won't prescribe Ambien (to anyone) and I'm allergic to Lunesta. I took a tiny dose of Seroquel and slept ok last night. I was up every couple of hours but I went right back to sleep. I work tonight so hopefully I'll be exhausted when I get home

Thanks so much! Hope you got some rest

I’m glad your getting some sleep.. sucks it’s broken tho

I know that providers are being pressured to get people off benzo’s and sleep meds but I’m not a fan of Doctors automatically reaching for a AP solely to sedate us.

There has to be a better way.

I didn’t sleep last night , Im not sure if I will tonight. Maybe ill get sleepy

You can always watch the wall reruns!

Last night was my toss' and turn'n night. I was so tired today that while looking for a can of soup in the store I saw double out of my right eye. Thankfully it went away before I checked out. Tonight I should get some shut eye.

A study came out last week showing olanzapine shrinks cortical thickness in all areas of the brain with just 36 weeks of taking ut,it's forcing doctors to start to think AP may do more actual harm then good . There whole biochemical imbalance correction theory has been disproved at least 8 times I know off ,yet they cling to it ? Despite years of research proving the only imbalance is the one the drug causes .

Psychiatry continues to cling to long disproved theories ,it's a wonder how they ever learned to stop drilling holes in your head to let the demons out .

They are dictated on using drugs to control people and make billions for big pharma ,but rarely do you hear them trying novel therapies ,unfortunately the status quo I'd drugs drugs drugs ,it's less work to push pills then to get to know the patient and what's bothering them ,15 minute med checks versus actually taking an hour to talk and learn, unfortunately few psychiatrist have actual training or skills in doing therapy these days . Talk therapy takes alot more skill and time then pushing pills , sure drugs are faster and cheaper for the "system" but not for the patient .

Ahhhhhh yeah woman you need some serious Zzzzzz ‘s !!! What kinda soup??

I’m going to force myself to stare at that wall tonight..... hopefully I’ll bore myself to sleep ??? My body is very unhappy. We have more nasty storms coming 2-5 am , always in the damn dark guess I don’t need to see a tornado before it hits ... like if I see it coming over the ridge not a damn thing I can do about it LOL

Maybe I’ll be the wicked witch on the bike zooming around?? dogs chewed the ruby slippers anyway

Yes !!! Virtually nothing offers me any semblance of even slightly routine sleep.. in fact I as of this month have been Med free for a year . Was it easy ? No .. I have had huge situational things but according to trusted family and friends I’m reacting like anyone would.. so while sometimes I’m white knuckling it sans Meds. I’m still doing okay.

I’m sure I’ll need something again one day.. but not today lol

I just bought split peas yesterday because I have a nice piece of leftover ham , I was actually buying red lentils to make Russian velvet soup ,but since I was there and the split peas where nearby the lentils ,magic happened , until my G /F gets tired of having soup to start dinner off, I hadn't made split peas soup in a longtime .,

Love baby carrots. I made 15 bean soup in January. Still have some in the freezer. Those bags of beans really do make too many servings for just two people for whom one cup of soup is plenty. Miser I hear your girlfriend on the soup. Nothing else like homemade soup, but it makes so much! Down in Austin there was a store of bulk foods that had the most delicious lentil soup mix, I loved it cause I could make one serving at a time.

I love my husband but he truly hates beans unless it’s my chili.

I just have to make white northern beans and corn bread 2-3 times a year. He complains about the smell. I’m like dude .........

15 bean soup I miss

Ohh he hates beans! But there are so many and they are all different. I like most and though it's now a fad I don't like edamame. But I do like soy milk and tofu, go figure!

From about 14-15 to premenopausal age I was a vegetarian. I was that irritating co-worker who brought the weridly looking dishes to the pot luck then told people who liked it that it had tofu in it! . Wasn't a religious thing with me I just stopped liking meat. Then when I was about 45 I started craving meat again. Seriously you can do anything with tofu.
