I’ve had life long trouble with ear infections and rupturing my ear drums , last one I ruptured was my left not even a year ago. I totally freak out about anything in my ears, I can’t really handle headphones either, I do have to wear those a couple times a year for target practice. My husband snores really loud, partially because of weight gain which will be changing in January. He always tells me to just make him so sleep in his recliner . I laugh because he snores just as loud out here as in bed. He’s like Fred Flintstone lol __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

Well, I actually slept last night (on 200 mg of Seroquel) so I think my membership has now been cancelled.

Ha, one night of drug induced sleep doesn't cancel your membership.
As a child I had a horrible time sleeping, I also had night terrors. I was screaming in my sleep once, a volcano was erupting in out back yard, it was so real. Mum slapped me awake then dismissed the dream as silly cause Minnesota doesn't get volcanos. I spent a lot of time waiting for my parents light to go out then giving them time to fall asleep. Then I read under the covers. Last night I finished my book, so it was early am when I turned out the lights. But I did sleep. The dream was weird, I was locked up in a cage preparing to be blasted into space. I was a chimp! __________________ Nammu …Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. I had a year of my sleep being a complete mess. It seems the Zyprexa allows me to sleep for up to 5- 6 hours. Then I get up, do a few things for an hour or two, then return to sleep for about an hour (if I'm lucky). Since I definitely need a full 8 (at least) hours, but never get that, I think I'm qualified to be a member of the coolest club on PC

Well I was horizontal for about 3 hours ... I didn’t really “ sleep” it was more of just a daydream but it did allow my body to rest.

What weird dreams you had. I hope you have peaceful sleep tonight, or had some last night. The time difference confuses me sometimes. __________________ Bipolar 1 with psychotic features PTSD "Phew! For a minute there I lost myself." 'Karma Police' by Radiohead |

Awake 3 a.m. Actually, I wouldn't mind breaking up my sleep if my eyes were okay. The Cogentin dries my eyes out, so it's painful to keep them open when I'm still sleepy.

Yeah my eyes suffer the most when I can't sleep. Then my back and legs. I seem to be on a every other night schedule.
Oh Christina you need more than just a few hours lie down rest! Can't you stay down for at least. 6-8 hours even if you don't sleep? I really worry about you. __________________ Nammu …Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. Nammu, do you ever use eye drops? I don't know if it's just me, but I've tried different eye drops, even some of the more expensive ones, and they burn my eyes.

There's one eye drop that really works but I forget what it is. Last time I bought eye drops I noticed the expiration date was just one week later! I keep forgetting to buy more.

Normally I can force myself to lay down longer but the PsA pain is just unbearable right now. I just can’t find a comfortable position , my Fibro is roaring too and I’m having huge a psoriasis flare the back of my head is on fire and so itchy despite the medicated shampoo, there’s nothing medication wise until my breathing returns to normal. So basically I’m miserable lol __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

I'm joining the club. Haven't been sleeping properly since I quit taking Seroquel XR, and it's been 8 or 9 months now. Clearly I get some sleep every now and then, but it's far from normal and there are nights when I don't sleep at all.
Recently stress and my new meds have just made the insomnia worse. But I got 6 hours of sleep last night and that's pretty good compared to the 0-5 hours I usually get. Yay. __________________ Dx: Bipolar disorder |
