Then the esteemed Dr. W prescribed Zyprexa and voila! I am sleeping better than I have in many years. And I feel, generally, more stable. Is it possible to change something with your meds so you can sleep? __________________ |

I slept from about 4am until 6:15 am - yeah. Hopefully I get a nap in before work.

Can I claim early waking as insomnia?

I tossed and turned till about 6 am then had a dream that my oldest sister and three babies moved in with mum and me into a basement that was full of boxes and filling up with water. My cat wasn't happy and someone had shaved his body. There were old cars too, model Ts and studebakers too. My sister only has two sons don't know where the three babies came from, plus she's in her 70's!

I don't think there's much to do. I've tried zopiclone but my sleep gets more interrupted than without it. If I become very desperate, I might be able to agree to take a lowish dose of Seroquel XR. I stopped taking Seroquel because it increased my appetite so much, and that's why I'm scared of Zyprexa too. I feel like my sleep is getting slowly better. At least I hope that's the case and not just a couple of good nights __________________ Dx: Bipolar disorder |

I don't know what it's called in Finland, but you must have some over the counter sleep aids. Would it be possible for you to take a sleep aid for a week or so? I took ZZZQuil for a week after stopping the Seroquel and it did help to reset my sleep. __________________ |

I am going to force myself to stay in bed at least 6 hours, I do feel I will get at least some sleep I’m taking an xtra Xanax and a gabapentin. So if nothing else it might help my pain so I can find a comfortable position.
If I don’t sleep I don’t ..I no longer get all stressed about it. Hope everyone gets deep restorative sleep tonight __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

My therapist asked me to email my pdoc regarding my insomnia and hypomania. I did as she asked.
I work in a hospital and I cannot even begin to tell you how many mental health issues we are seeing this time of the year |

I was so tired the other night that I went to bed at 730. I woke up at midnight and ended up staying awake all night.
The next night I did something similar but this time I tried to sleep again at 2am. I managed to get a few more hours. That's good but I'm still very tired. Maybe it'll be like this for a while - sleeping in 2 shifts. Better than only 4 hours I guess. __________________ * Dx: Unspecified Bipolar and Related Disorder * Rx: Remeron, Prozac, Klonopin, Vraylar My avatar picture is a photo of the Whirlpool Galaxy I took in April 2023. I read far to much. Was about 3am when I turned off my light, then tossed and turned until 9:30.
Christina I hope you managed to get some deep restful sleep. You really need it. __________________ Nammu …Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. …... Desiderata Max Ehrmann |
