How about exercise before bed, like maybe a long walk. I walk the dog for about one hour. I also run with her.

It's a good suggestion but I get a ton of exercise at work (I'm a security guard that walks and/or runs my entire shift) and my legs and feet won't hold up to anymore. A lot of times I'll have a bunch of surges of adrenaline during my shift and them I'm awake for hours.

I'm feeling sleepy tonight so I'm hopeful I'll be out soon. Hope everyone else sleeps or at least finds something to occupy their time.

Well last night zero sleep but I literally accidentally fell asleep this afternoon. My eyes were soooo dry from binging Er all night . I put eye drops in and closed my eyes Boom ! woke up a few hours later.

My husband was outside doing something and apparently I scared him because I have fallen asleep in my chair only one other time. He said he rushed over to make sure I was breathing.

Hope everyone is catching some good Zzzzzz ‘s

I have to admit...I don't have insomnia (at least, with meds I don't), but I tend to sleep (segmented) for 10 to 12 hours. I am exhausted. I'm in chronic pain, have been for months; I guess it's wearing me out.

The pain is from an achilles tendon injury that has developed a bone spur. I'm going fairly nuts from the pain. On top of that it looks like surgery is unavoidable. Uggggh.

I’m sorry your just unable to find any consistent sleep.. what is your Pdoc doing about it? It’s impossible to find stability if your just not sleeping much.

I’m sorry your facing surgery. But chronic pain is just awful

Interesting fact: People used to not sleep 8 hours at once. They would have "first sleep" and "second sleep". They'd go to bed when the sun went down, then several hours later get up and eat, or read, or have sex, or do whatever they wanted and then after a few hours, go back to sleep for "second sleep".

I have trazodone but some nights it just doesn't do anything. I also take Benadryl with it.

Ooo I slept so good last night. Dropped off and when I opened my eyes it was 9:15, just over eight hours of sleep!!!!!! The dream was all jumbled tho. Something about Holloween and putting up jelly like curtains that fastened to a shooting range and four wheels were mixed up in it too, and oh yeah something about a sheriff there were ghosts too.

Tonight is my first night totally off of Seroquel. I'm sure I won't sleep that much even though I'm now on Vraylar (we've been tapering down on Seroquel). Seroquel also gives me RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) and makes me eat - so I think this is a good move even if I don't get much sleep for a few nights

My sleep times are so crazy these days. Basically just a few hours in the early or late evening. I bought some melatonin. It says 3mg with 1mg of B6. Is that good? I haven't tried it yet. How soon should I take it before I try to go to sleep? Thank you for any suggestions you can give.

I always take 10 mg usually 30-60 mins before I head to bed.

Day 2 of no Seroquel and I'm wide awake at 3:30am.

I'm just chalking it up to a lost night and hopefully tomorrow night will be better
