I am soooooooooo damn jealous of you having such interesting dreams LOL

I so seldom have dreams.. Im just doomed to have trauma/ptsd nightmares. Altho one day last week after watching 13-14 episodes in a row of ER I had a dream that I was hanging out with all the Doctors and nurses.. My favorite show of all times.. Never gets old

wow, I managed to fall asleep from 9pm until 7am, and I only woke up once instead of 3-5 times like I have been!

only downside is that I missed my meds, because I have been taking them at 11pm and I fell asleep before that could happen.

I must've been really tired? it's a miracle!

I had some sleep, but a nightmare woke me up. I wasn't thinking of that (person) at all during the day.

That's great you got sleep! How much did you get, even if it was broken up?

Mine was broken up too last night. Woke up 4 times. But it sounds like yours is much worse than mine. Sorry you have to deal with that.

I don't think I'm at that point where I'm awake more than I'm asleep like you, but it seems like I'm sleeping 60% of the time and awake 40% of the time.

I hope you get better sleep tonight. I can already sense that I'm not going to get much. But I'm going to contact my psychiatrist (again) tomorrow to see what we can do. For now, I will just try another klonopin and call it a day.

thanks

what have you been taking to fall asleep lately? I know you mentioned that you don't want to get dependent on meds, especially if they tend to conk out on you after a while (or at least that's what I think you said? sorry if my memory isn't serving me right...)

I usually take just a xanax at night. Any actual sleeping meds over the years stop helping within a few weeks.. I use to really panic about not sleeping nightly. I have life long insomnia. If I go passed 5 days awake then I have to knock myself down, usually I use a heavy Zyprexa , Haldol or Thorazine dose. .

I have just gotten mostly use to not sleeping

I've been having anxiety dreams lately. Had a very emotional one that woke me up. My father who went blind in his early 60's was instigating on driving.

Sorry to hear that your body adapts so quickly to sleepy meds.

Glad you're no longer panicking about the sleep though. At least you have Xanax and other meds to take when you need something.

I start to act wonky when I don't sleep well... I don't do well with insomnia.

I hate anxiety dreams. Sorry that you had an emotional one. Those are always rough.

Hopefully you will go back to having your fancy dreams. I enjoy reading about your escapades.

I've been getting up at 3:30 am (after going to bed around midnight) for the past week. I'm in quarantine awaiting COVID-19 test results and I just wake up anxious (which is weird to me - because anxiety is not a problem that I typically have). I emailed my pdoc - we'll see what he says - he's almost always really super helpful so let's hope he keeps up his track record. Note: I'm not anxious about my own test results - but mostly anxious about returning to work because it's so awful lately - I work at a hospital. I return next week. I need to stop reading shift reports i get via email because they give me heart palpitations from anxiety. I'm rambling.......

I am so sorry that you are on the front lines of this and at a higher risk. I hope your test is negative. Thank you for all your doing to care for the sick.

I pray that your hospital has all the protective gear you need to ensure your safety Hopefully your Pdoc can help you and your able to sleep better and anxiety decrease, altho I can understand it will be ongoing for now.. Rest as much as you can and stay hydrated...a nurse friend said so many health care workers are winding up dehydraited because of having to be covered from head to toein PPE that they dont find the time to eat or drink themselves .. I will keep you in my thoughts

Thanks Christina. I woke up at 2:18 this morning and still wide awake. Yikes - I had been doing so well sleeping until this all hit.

I've been binging ER and Schitt's Creek all day - two of my favorites - trying to be kind to myself!

Woke up wayyy too early. I probably wouldn't have slept at all if I didn't drug myself into oblivion last night.

Slept from 1am until 6am with multiple awakenings.

I did, at least, manage to book an appointment slot for wal-mart grocery pickup at 12am, so I suppose that staying up wasn't a complete waste of time...? I pick up groceries on Tuesday morning.

No exciting dreams like Nammu though. lol. I suppose it is because I am getting broken sleep and can't really have a dream.
