This week's weigh-in showed a 0.4 lb gain, but I'm not upset about it. I actually think I lost weight this week. It will probably be like two weeks ago when I showed a gain, but had actually lost fat, then had a big loss last week. I have been more physically active this week than I can even remember. I stayed within my calorie allowances all but two days, and those two days I was still within weight loss ranges. I think last night's meals and the fact that my monthly FINALLY came are clear factors in today's scale reading. I'm glad about the latter. It's too late to go to the gyn for the biopsy. I'll do that the next time. At least I might not be dealing with my monthly during some or all of my upcoming vacation.
As I wrote in the check-in thread, I am almost physically spent. I say almost because I imagine I will find some energy today to do more. The To Do list charges me. There's really necessity. I should give myself some breaks for a bit. I might have to reschedule my nephrologist appointment next week. It might conflict with when we need to get covid tests for our trip. We have to get to the place early in the morning and possibly wait outside in a long line. We drove to the place just to look at what was happening. Yes, there was a long line of people. From the car, I loudly asked if they were all there for covid testing. Those who responded said "yes". Whether they are there for travel (like me), symptoms, or possible exposure, I don't know. |

Don't get too lost in that list. Taking time to rest is very important especially when you know it would be bad to head into your trip hypo. Good luck with the test! I hope it is quick and painless. |

I'm rocking the physical activity on vacation. Yesterday I rode about 10 miles on a beach cruiser while pulling my 5 year old in a cart behind me. I swam a lot too. I just got back from another ride and have an afternoon of playing in the water planned.
We leave vacation tomorrow and have a long ride home, so I'm not sure if I'll get a workout in, but I am pleased that I didn't just lay around the whole time. I'm starting back on MyFitnessPal on Sunday. I usually have a goal of about 1300 calories. It is usually fairly easy to stay in that range. I have no idea what I weigh, but I'd like my jeans to be a bit more comfortable. I hate uncomfortable jeans, even the ones that are meant to be tight need wiggle room. |

He decided he was ready to ride like a big guy today, so he tried out the tandem 2 man bike. He rode behind Daddy and he was so stoked he could reach the pedals. We are wiped, but my husband is a champ and agreed to take him out for one more ride. No more pulling the cart I suppose. My 8 year old is ready to fly solo next year and the 5 year old is done with the kiddie cart. They are so cute. We are very fortunate to have this time and these memories.

I had anice meal for lunch. But then I went and ate a big piece of cheese cake that more than doubled my calories and carbs for the day. Now I'm at my max basically and my average food grade is a D. It usually is a B or an A. All from one piece of cheesecake!

I suppose I'm doing okay physically. in that my body feels okay. OTOH that proves nothing. There could be more energy. Maybe that's my depression. Prescribed citalopram and neurontin (generic)

I have energy during the day, but by evenings, lately, I am completely spent. We were supposed to have had a handyman come last night at 6 pm, but at 7 pm we were still waiting for him. I texted him and he said "Will be there in a little while." By 7:30 pm, I had to text him to come another day, instead. I went straight to bed. He then texted that he'll come 6 pm tonight. I sure hope he comes on time! I won't take my evening meds until after he comes, in hopes I will make it if he's late. If the same thing happens again, I will look for a different handyman.

I like veggies, too, bpcyclist. I don't plan to go vegetarian or vegan, but try to eat vegetarian several meals per week. I'm afraid I like real dairy too much to ever go vegan.
I convinced my nephrologist's office to send me my blood test results electronically, despite postponing my video appointment. After 5 weeks on my weight loss plan (and increased exercise), I improved all of my cholesterol results and triglycerides, but not my creatinine (and related) and glucose (and A1C). None are yet in the normal range exception my HDL and all of the miscellaneous others. Of course I intend to work harder to try to normalize them, but my trip won't help. I do intend to be reasonable about eating while there, but there is no way I'm not going to eat a few pastries or have a little beer/wine. Sorry. I'd better up my water consumption, too. I really have to work on my kidney health. It will be a lifelong struggle, thanks to Lithium and maybe something else. Truly, in my view unless Lithium is very effective for a person, I'd recommend avoiding it. There's enough work to do to avoid health issues like diabetes, another kidney foe. |
