Love Ya! :,,,,

See the sad thing is , honestly CT surgery takes less than 10 mins, it takes longer to get wheeled in surgery , slide onto the table, recheck vitals, them prepping the site and being put out. Crazy

But it’s an “elective surgery “ so hospitals require you pay your portion prior to surgery. I’m as we all know on disability and just a old poor woman, so I’ll continue ice, heat ibuprofen /Feldene, Tylenol and hand/wrist split at night.

I will at some point likely soon have to stay offline , phone and laptop , literally keep brace on fulltime to give it a rest.

I’m an internet junky tho, Facebook, PC and numerous other things I do online are just part of my daily life.

Life is full of shyt sometimes Haha, gotta laugh

yes, I did ask a dumb question! Sorry!

Two people in my family have had CT surgery and they'd ended up worse off.

I have never had the surgery, even though a hand surgeon continues to tell me that I need it... bilaterally. Not gonna do it right now.

I hope you get more relief and healing soon.

Nope never a dumb question!! But If was working and it interfered with my ability to do my job it could be filed under workers comp. I should have done it back then, but it was a pretty big surgery 20 something years ago.

My mom had it done about a year before she died , she was a hairdresser.. she got a huge relief.

But yes, some people have worse problems after.

Certain things in life .... Taxes and Death only guaranteed thing lol

I have been in a great deal of pain. Terrible .. all over.
But, the area's top ortho' is supposed to see me, too, damn, for my knee.

Knee is swollen. Extreme pain. Will see rheumy this week. Will see what she says!

Please tell me "no surgery," please!

I wanted to stop by today and let you all know you've been on my mind and my heart lately. I sense the suffering you are experiencing and I continue to hold onto hope that each of you will find a way forward into a better quality of life. You are more than deserving of that and I am a believer it can be found.

I've had a lot of emotional stuff confront me recently and my body is following suit. My family has all been sick with a virus and I got it this time as well which is unusual for me, but I can't say it is unexpected given the trauma I'm working to process. To me, everything we experience in the spirit, mind and heart plays itself out eventually in the body. All of these systems are tightly integrated and affect each other in so many ways. I believe my body is letting me know it needs time to process and heal, so I'm taking time to rest and relax and give myself what I need. I'm asking my family to support me while I do that.

I feel better today and will hopefully be able to do more physically. I won't push it though. The sun is out and that is a blessing as we have had a tremendous amount of rain recently. Some fresh air and sunshine medicine is in order today for sure.

I hope everyone has a blessed day today. Keep looking for your own answers. Don't give up. You are worth every bit of effort you offer yourself to find wellness.

Glad to see you too! How are you doing with your new eating plan and how is it working out for Steve? I know you've invested a lot into planning and making it work for the both of you. I hope the rewards show themselves soon for you!

Thanks !

Things are going pretty well actually, I have gotten our carb portions size down to almost ideal , steve hasn’t snacked after dinner is many days. He said he doesn’t feel bloated anymore , nor do I .. so it’s a start. I’m glad I’ve eased into it instead of just drastically reducing food amounts which just leaves a person hungry and angry.

Hi! Welcome!

It's great you are seeing progress right away!
I think this can help to move one forward in the program.
I mean... it must be quite inspiring.

Awesome update The incremental strategy you used was very wise imho. I'm glad the bloating has eased. I wonder if that will translate into less inflammation for you overall. Fingers crossed!

I’m LOVING intuitive eating. It is so liberating to throw off the chains of calorie counting and carb counting. And I find I’m actually being drawn to fresh foods. I’m eating foods that are good for me not because I have to, but because I want to. I’m not lamenting my weight or diet. I’m not going crazy trying to figure out how to do a total overhaul. I’m drinking more water and less Diet Coke because I feel better, not because I have to. I still have a small dessert after dinner (I’m talking like two Oreos or a couple of mini chocolate pieces) and I don’t hate myself. And best of all, I’m not letting myself go hungry. If I’m hungry, I eat. I don’t binge, I just eat until I’m full. I don’t even like chips or stuff like that anymore. Today I ate some plain popcorn for a snack after dinner and it was just what I wanted. And healthy! I still don’t really like salads and veggies, so I’m just going to eat the ones I like (broccoli, carrots, green beans) and be done with it. I’m planning on expanding my fruit selection when I go grocery shopping next week. I eat plain yogurt for breakfast along with a protein shake (just to use them up, I don’t plan on buying any more, they’re expensive). And I like it! It’s great! And I am not weighing myself because it’s not about numbers on a scale anymore. I’m healthy according to my dr, so I’m not worried about it as long as my clothes still fit.

I’m still working on self acceptance. I’m still trying to look at my belly and not go UGH. But that will come in time. It helps that RS calls me beautiful every day.

I will continue this!

dwilliams, congrats on your progress!

wildchildflower, I'm glad to read that you found an eating approach that not only works, but excites you. The latter is so crucial to success!

I'm hoping that everyone here feels (or will feel) better, physically, or finds success in pursuits to do so.

I'm OK, physically. I wouldn't say I'm exactly dieting, but I haven't been really overeating that much. I have splurged on certain desserts, but they have been "lightened" versions of them. I guess that's some progress. I haven't weighed myself yet this week, but I'm still fitting into the smaller size jeans. In fact, they even feel a little less tight.

A Warm Hello to All!

Very happy to read many are finding their way to lifestyles with which the resonate.

I have not shared/commented much lately. I am very weary. I have been working hard and trying to make it through each day.

I will see my specialist in several hours. We'll see what she has to say.

Much Love to All!
