So I confess I ordered lunch special takeouts from a local Chinese restaurant, and then I chowed down. I feel so much better! Hubby doesn't mind the kind from Chinese restaurants, but for some reason isn't fond of mine. I don't understand it. I like my stir fries. They're better than the average Chinese joint's.

If I could make stir fries at home at least three times per week, hubby and I would likely lose some good weight. I make them without too much fat.

I ate broccoli, snow peas, mushrooms, bok choi, and carrots. I didn't get asparagus.
Wow! Sounds like you did a great job of listening to your body!
I enjoy both making and eating stir fries. I so enjoy bok choi! It's fun to change the ingredients!

I like my ingredients fresh; however, I've just had extra chicken breast. I cubed it and threw it into the freezer with plans for a stir fry soon!

Enjoyed your account!

We attended our first mardi gras party/parade last night it was fun!
stayed up too late though in bed at 2am couldn't sleep so....

I was still awake at 4;18 last night so got up and took a klonipin and wrote a note to jeff to have brunch with out me. I did get up earlier than I would have liked just because. Got up at 11am this morning, We were able to go to brunch together and I had a BELT sandwich on rye it was delicious!

I will get my CBD tincture, feeling a little illegal about it. Bought it from a friend who bought it from a supplier directly at a discounted price because he is disabled......tomorrow so am looking forward to trying that. I am hoping it acts like my klonipin so I won't have to take that.

Need to do 2 loads of laundry, paperwork, my little desk is covered with it, and take down the christmas trees.
Better get back to work, I can see a bit more table top!

How's everyone feeling physically today? I'm a bit sluggish, but I have accomplished a lot already. I got my workout in as well and I've eaten well today.

I had kicked my sugar habit for a few weeks and then I had a few treats for Valentine's. Then I ate sugar the next day and the next and yesterday. This morning I 'woke up' and realized how incredibly easy it is to forget your goal and jump back into old habits. All it takes is one little shift.

I think I would have been better off if I would have created a reminder for myself on Saturday that I'm staying away from sugar and only having the occasional treat. We can reprogram our habits, but it takes a lot of awareness and realignment. Today is a new day!

I've also felt kinda heavy lately. I've been churing through some complex thoughts and emotions and I haven't been as light as I usually am. I think it is interesting how my mental and emotional state of being coincides with how my body feels. I processed over the weekend and had time to let a lot of what I had been churning on out through writing. I feel lighter today all around.

I hope everyone has time to take a moment to do something to love yourself today. Well wishes for health for all!

Fern, I know how it can be with the sugar---meaning once you have a splurge, it's sometimes hard to cut it, again. I never aim for complete elimination of refined, but I am aiming to cut down on significant daily amounts. I hope you get back on track with that. I've been doing kinda sort of OK with sugars. My mood varies slightly with hormonal changes, like "time of month". Do you think you're at some specific time of your cycle that might cause that?

bizi, what is a "BELT" sandwich? Is it a BLT with an egg? Anyway, it sounds like you had a real fun night.

I'm OK, I guess. I'm actually on day 1 of my monthly. It's kind of funny, in Czech Republic they say that a woman "has guests" when it's "the time of month". I'm not sure which sounds better.

The blotchy redness on my face is pretty much gone, and has been since maybe 12 to 18 hours since my last Nexium dose. I really wonder if it was indeed the Nexium causing that. We'll see. I'll quit it. Actually, once I told my GP that I occasionally take it and he firmly told me not to, but to rather take Zantac, when needed. He gave no reason, so I kept taking Nexium simply because it works really well. You know, "if it ain't broke why fix it"?

I feel a little lazy today.

It definitely shifts with my cycle. I'm trying to pay more attention to that aspect of it. Very tricky, but doable I think.

I've been meaning to check in here again. I'm so tired and stressed right now I can't catch up with others just yet, but a little update. My tongue is feeling much better. I mean, I don't even really feel the pain generally. It was looking pretty ugly for a few days, but like i said, I don't really feel it, so I keep forgetting to look. It should be fully healed very soon.

My blisters on my fingers, did I mention those? Well, they are getting even worse again. I had started up crochet again and did a bunch last night. I wonder if that aggravated them, but I'd still have likely had them anyway since it's winter. It's crap! I mean, I need to take aspirin for this and as I'll say below, I overslept and missed my dose again by like 6hrs! I mean, it be ok if I took it even 2 hours ago, but I'm really late today. :/ So that just offsets everything!

And I'll say this again below, but I'm having mysterious mild period cramps still and ive been done with the brunt of my period for days now, technically finished yesterday. It's just another annoyance.

Did I mention I was tired? Wth! I slept like 13 hours!

Ok, post copied from check in. Can skip if read already....

"Oh man! I slept in big time! (Till 2pm and went to bed at 12:30am!) And I'm still tired! I don't get it! So I'm feeling stressed that I won't get enough "me time" today or that I will And I'll neglect my chores. I dunno! I don't know what I'm doing!

Oh yea, and I'm also experiencing these phantom cramps (like mild cramps), but my period is already over and plus I never had these after a certain day in my cycle. I dunno why this has to happen! I mean, it's not bad, but it's like tiring all the same. Sigh "

I woke up at 1:42 A.M. and I’ve been tired all day. My appointment Tuesday had great results! I have one biopsy tomorrow at 9:00 and hopefully I’m done! Will have to wait a few days for results but my gut tells me it’s ok. I have a phobia of needles to get around tomorrow but it’s all good. Grateful to get this behind me.

I fell over a cat toy and pulled a muscle in the top of my left leg. So that hurts like he!l. Now I have the achilles pain in right leg, pain in the left, and can barely walk. I need a walker or a wheelchair. Gonna tell people that I'm a young looking 80 years old.

Jennifer, I am so glad that your results were good!

Giddy, I have read that the tongue and insides of the mouth are the quickest parts to heal on the body. I hope your cramps ease. I have very minor ones today, myself.

bizi, I hope you and your family will make a speedy recovery. Wishing your m-i-l a very successful surgery, if she needs one. I hope she doesn't need one. Hopefully your sister's m-i-l will be rid of the cancer soon. I'm pretty sure they'll get the Coronavirus handled soon, too.

BethRags, that's an ouch! Bad kitty! My husband leaves his stuff in my path a lot, too.

A good friend has a severe ear infection. I used to have those a lot. I was told to keep my ears dry, I still do. I try to avoid having to consult doctors as much as I can. I did consult a good ENT doctor, fortunately. I had to keep going back and having my ear cleaned out by the specialist and he said it was a ''chronic'' infection. I had to use ear drops for a long time. (prescribed) Fortunately after a year (?) it cleared up. He said I had ''eczema in my ear canal'' It was ''my fault'' since I used to wash my hair every day and my ears got waterlogged.....

I wish people would consider how they phrase things like that. Millions of people shower every day and their ears are fine. That doctor should have worked with you to help you to know why your body was different and how to make the best out of the variables you are working with. 'Your fault'. That's crap and an unnecessary judgment.

Like fern wrote, that sounds like an unfair (and possibly inaccurate) thing for your ENT to say to you. A lot of people have issues with clogged ears. My dad does. I do. I know others who do. I can't speak for the causes of everyone's clogged ears, but mine has nothing to do with getting water in them, nor does it have to do with me cleaning them incorrectly. I just so happen to have a larger/quicker production of earwax than many other people. It just clogs up because of that. I've had to have the gunk vacuumed out several times. It all started when I was a little kid. That time it went unchecked for too long and my ears did get infected.

Today’s results were good! The surgeon was not concerned and said a biopsy would not be necessary. Recheck in 6 months. What a relief to have that behind me.

I’m still eating healthy and am a good way into my March goals. I need to be more consistent with exercise. That would be a big help.

I’m just so happy and relieved right now!

Hey there, Fuzzy!
I have had that eczema in the ear, too. I have to be very careful. Until I had it correctly diagnosed, I was in agony! It felt like bee stings inside of the ear canal. Once I had the right dx and treatment, I had improved very quickly! I still must be careful of getting any moisture in my ears.

Mine is hereditary. My grandmother and her mother had this as a part of their overall eczema problems. It is not your fault!

You and I have a lot in common!

Hi Wild Coyote
Ouch, a feeling of bee stings inside the ear canal
Also I had put my finger in that ear. It had felt blocked. It hurt for a while before I saw the doctor, I thought it was just wax with maybe some water too since I had had an issue with wax before. I tried to clear the wax by lying down in the bath (I had read that suggestion somewhere) Then the ear pain became acute and luckily I saw the ENT doctor quickly ... (this was quite a while ago)

I have pre-planned my menus today, to be diet-friendly. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my planned meals, and they will taste good. My only challenge is when it comes to snacks between/after meals. I often eat more than planned and/or eat things I wouldn't really want to. I need to come up with a long list of snacks that will be satisfying, easy to prepare/grab, and not trigger overeating of them.
