the first thing I did today was wet myself

after that, things didn't really get much better for my pain. tried to relax and watch a drama, but my body wouldn't let me
on the flip side, I'm actually eating really well. I at all my dinner last night (and no snacks), and today I've only had my fruit and a few cookies out of my jar.

but in the long run I suppose it doesn't help. not when you think about the pain

I have lost 10 pounds in the last month! That brings my total from my highest to 46 pounds. I still have 30-some to go but I'm encouraged!

I thought I'd bump this thread up rather than write on a particular physical topic in the check-in thread.

According to my gynecologist, I'm not menopausal and my thyroid function is perfectly controlled by my levothyroxine (Synthroid). I will still have the endo biopsy in November, but I'm thinking all of my irregularity with my menstrual period has likely just been stress-induced. It all seemed to start in March. I'm not sure if the pandemic had anything to do with it, but that's when the shutdown started and Hubby was home. That's also when layoff threats started and our preparations (mental/otherwise) for a move just began. It would seem to make sense that stress was involved. I don't have any other abnormal symptoms (no pain or other stuff). We'll see. Assuming that the endo biopsy shows no problem, she will have at least removed some cervical polyps as part of the procedure.

That seems like good news Soupe! You have been under quite a bit of stress. I am hopeful everything will go well with the biopsy.

I've been sitting on my butt too long today, not very much exercise. But I'm feeling better than I was yesterday. My benzos have now run out though (got some more I can take tomorrow, paws crossed)

Kind thoughts to all (especially those dealing with any medical stuff)

My fang space is healing well.

There’s a little shop called Crumbl that sells gourmet cookies that rotate each week. They are delicious! I’ve gotten in the habit of going each week to try the new cookies. I’ve got to stop that. I’ve lost a significant amount of weight and I don’t want to louse that up. I’ve made up my mind that today was my last run. Still walking 2 miles a day. Physically doing well apart from sleep issues.

Been sick physically. Was tested for Covid Thursday. I won't know anything until tomorrow or Tuesday. Just staying to myself at home. I've been listening to a lot of music and journaling. I have my cats to keep me company. All 6 of them. Strangely enough my husband was given the okay to still work even though I was tested for Covid. His boss said as long as he isn't showing symptoms he can work. He is a cashier at a gas station.

Good for you for making that commitment! I've gotten into the habit of eating either pancakes or a waffle for breakfast. Not a good habit. It's so easy to start a bad habit, sooo hard to break one.

I hope you feel better very soon. Cats are the best company I have 5.

I've totally run out of steam, lately. Actually just plain tired, unmotivated, and feeling down. I also think the long period of stress has started to make my head hair fall out in clumps. I think stress is the likely cause. It makes me not want to even go for a haircut and color, and it needs it, badly. I did just take a much-needed shower with extra appearance self-care.

My ankle/foot is starting to recover. It looks a bit more normal again with no bruises left, though is still a bit swollen. I still have some issues with its usage. It is also especially stiff in the mornings.

I'll be heading to my appointment for an endo biopsy in less than an hour. I asked my husband to take me. He can wait in the car. That's what he prefers, and likely the doctor, as well.

For your hair, one treatment is biotin. I've found that it helps keep my hair much healthier after coloring and it makes my nails very strong and healthy.

Also, vitamin D can help hair loss.

It's now 5 1/2 months since I had surgery on my achilles tendon. The healing was predicted to be fairly slow because of the surgery location. I have no complaints. The excruciating pain is gone (!) and I've been healing well. Now I'm working on regaining my stamina after having been mostly immobile for 3 months. I'm finding the loss of stamina especially difficult. Because I was in a cast for 3 months, my hips are somewhat injured. So I'm essentially learning to walk normally again. Walking up stairs is still a challenge, but I do it.
