I'm so happy you feel stable BP-wise! Whoo hoo! I hope your pdoc can do something about the tremor, and here's to working on PTSD issues!

I've been feeling really good, but this afternoon was just a little bit rough. Anxiety and a shade of depression. Did some yoga and some mindfulness breathing. It felt good while I was doing it. I know that part of the issue is chronic pain, also this tremor is pretty uncomfortable. Anxiety persisted, so I took my bedtime Klonopin early.
Also had anxiety about maintenance coming in, even though it was only for a minute. I love my apartment and it feels so intrusive when maintenance comes in (even though they're always friendly). I wish it would get dark already. __________________ |

The Latuda continues to be helpful, although not like the first few days. Meds seem to follow that pattern since I hit my late 40's. But it is def helpful enough to keep it on board.
Strong tremor. Seeing pdoc in 12 hours, hope she has some idea(s) to treat the tremor. __________________ |

Pdoc said to increase the Cogentin to 4mg. I feel like I'm vibrating, head to toe.
Latuda seems to be keeping the depressive/anxious episodes shorter. They are not entirely absent, unfortunately, but less intense and of shorter duration. Sometimes that's the best meds can do. Called podiatry, told the chick I'm in excruciating pain - have to see the doctor. I have an appointment for Friday. Pain level has me loopy. __________________ |

THANK YOU, Sweetie! Darn right - I called the pod. office and told the receptionist that I MUST have an appointment this week. I will not let that doc out of the exam room without a plan for relief from this pain! __________________ |

Session with therapist. Now that you're feeling stable, what do you want to do with your life...goals?
Plans? (Read: her supervisor was on her a$s.) ---------------- Came home to a message that the podiatrist has to cancel my appointment tomorrow. I was crushed, I so need that appointment. Called the office and fairly begged the receptionist to hook me up with a doctor I can see tomorrow. She was nice, said she'll try and will call me in the morning. If I don't receive that call I will call them. __________________ |

Well, that's the problem...I don't have huge goals...spend much more time in nature...buy a simple camera to take pics. I just don't have lofty goals, at least not that I'm aware of right now.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry ! Someone from the podiatrist's office called this morning. She said that my appt. today was cancelled by mistake, and that I can come in at the scheduled time. I am so pissed - but I'll take this as a good sign. *sigh*
_____________________________________ Saw podiatrist. He's so kind and gentle. We discussed options and decided the first one is a cortisone shot. I'm not afraid of needles. It pinched and is pretty sore now, but all I'm doing is hoping and praying it works. After this, 1 more shot. If there's still unbearable pain...surgery. I so hope it doesn't come to surgery. __________________ Last edited by *Beth*; Feb 14, 2020 at 06:16 PM.. |

Buying a camera is a good goal , it will allow you to capture beautiful things. Could be a wonderful coping skill, stress ? Get out camera , distraction.
Great news at podiatrist office I hope the shots fix things and no surgery needed. __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

Back to my purpose for keeping this log...
Aside from the tremor, I have no complaints about Latuda. It's certainly helping my moods in that they are less severe. Negative mind states are less intense. I'm still doing my best to get through the darn anxiety that is ever-present. Tremor still severe, the worst in hands, but also occurring in other parts of my body (feet, shoulders, jaw). 2 nights of 4mg Cogentin hasn't helped, so far. __________________ |

HI!
I am sorry you are still having such severe tremors. I am concerned for you. Very concerned. I need to read through to see if your pdoc has tried to address this in any way or not. If my pdoc tried and could not help the tremor, esp the severity and the locations you describe, I would be calling neurology pronto. In all honesty, even if I had found Latuda helpful, I would start coming off of it if it has started these tremors. To be even more honest, I would be tapering off of any med which might have the potential for creating these severe tremors. TD is a horrible condition to live with. I know of 3 people with TD. Every single one of them wants "out" of this life more than ever. They have each been affected for btw 2 and 3 years now. One woman is seeing some symptom let up a little after 3 years. I absolutely know you are a very intelligent woman. I hope you will take my post in the spirit intended. I am truly very concerned about you and these tremors. Much Love __________________ May we each fully claim the courage to live from our hearts, to allow Love, Faith and Hope to enLighten our paths. |

Adjusted plan. Cannot tolerate this tremoring any more. It's actually keeping me from sleeping. Going to decrease the Latuda today from 100 to 80 and continue 4mg Congentin.
This is so frustrating; aside from the tremor I've been doing really well on the Latuda. Trying to keep a positive outlook though, and fingers crossed the 80mg works. Also, will take a walk down to the corner and back. Not being in chronic foot pain is definitely decreasing my depression! __________________ |

Took 80mg Latuda yesterday & will do so today. Had a surprising bought of withdrawal today (nausea, dizziness), so slept for many hours.
Tremor is the tiniest bit better. Fingers crossed for much better tomorrow. __________________ |

Hopefully 80mg of Latuda is your sweet spot - a high enough dose to get what you want and low enough for the tremors to stop.
