Got the job offer today. Now I just need to find out their benefits to see if it will work out. I so wanted to go into my *** of a boss’s office and flip him the bird. I think I. The moment I would have felt better but then regret it. I talk to HR tomorrow and I need to figure out what to ask so that I do not miss anything. Anxiety is high because I am already imagining my first day. But the depression does feel a little better. My biggest worry is getting to see my T.

Congrats!
You're right that you don't want to burn bridges. You never know if someone from your current company will go on to work for the same company you got the job offer at. There is always that risk. I hope your therapist situation works out. Are you afraid your new insurance might not cover your visits? If you are, definitely get a list of insurance companies that she accepts. Some insurance companies actually utilize United Healthcare for what they call "behavioral health." So, they basically contract out mental health insurance services to United Healthcare, and a lot of mental health services across the U.S. accept United. So you'll have to do some research on that, but just FYI. |

She says she takes everything but Kaiser so that I am not worried about. Right now my appointments are at lunch time because she is right down the street. I don’t think I can make those times anymore. Plus I don’t know if I have flex time anymore which will make it really hard. She talked about doing therapy over the phone or computer but I don’t think I would like that. I am more worried about what insurances my pdoc takes. Those stupid online directories all say he doesn’t take their insurance but I know he does. So it means a lot of searching and phone calls. Plus some things are just confusing with comparing insurance plans. That is why I liked what I have now it was my only choice but at the same time really good. I am going to try to have a talk with HR today to get more info. I still can’t believe I got the job. |

Now I am sad about this job. My T said looking at her schedule we might have to go from twice a week down to every other week. Or she has therapists with evening and weekend hours so I can transition to one of them. She promised me that wouldnt happen. Do now my mood is tanking.

I had seen my T weekly for almost 8 years but finances became a big issue so I dropped back to twice a month...
Oh hell it was hard at first, but it did get better I found I was capable of managing 2 weeks between. Maybe getting this new job and out of that toxic job will ease your distress to where bi weekly sessions will be enough ? Hopefully you can get all the insurance stuff sorted out with as little trouble as possible __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |
