Are the voices telling you to do anything bad?

I hear voices regardless of meds, so I know what you mean

Just in my experience... Sometimes you have to go with the flow and build up a healthy list of coping mechanisms because meds aren't perfect and they will never stop 100% of symptoms. It sucks, but that's the truth for people like us.

I do feel for you though. It's such an uncomfortable feeling. I wish mine would go away, but they won't pack their bags.

I think what may help you is finding a healthy outlet for all of this stuff. I think posting about it on PC is a great outlet, but you can also do coloring, writing, and journaling. Have you tried doing those things during OR right after an "incident" like this? I think distraction techniques are important for living in the moment, but we need an outlet for all of this stress.

I extremely rarely have this or some type of a noise distortion. Yet, I do try hard to understand what you and additional members experience.

It sounds like it could be quite disconcerting.
You've done a great job (in your post) helping me to better understand how some chronic and/or chronically recurring symptoms might need to be "down graded" on the scale of what is and is not alarming. Therefore, acceptance plays a big part in managing the symptom(s), it seems?

Thanks for your very thoughtful, informative and compassionate post.

You've been working very hard on stability and are doing a great job!

Does this type of symptom upset you?
Does it cause you to feel like you might be relapsing?

Is it loud?

Do you think you might be able to train yourself to not lend this symptom any of your energy and/or not allow this symptom to have any power over your sense of well-being?

Blue's approach seems like a very healthy approach for coping with this type of symptom.

I hope this gets easier for you, Hallie.
Keep up the great job of taking good care of yourself!

Hear it , Fact Check it, forget it and go about your life.

Every noise we think we hear isn’t going to lead to an episode.

My husband has this happen , he has no mental illness

Don’t let a grain of salt become a monster

Don’t worry-I’m not. I never thought about it the
Rest of the day really. I just needed to tell
Someone. It was very confusing after just waking up
So early and being nervous about my new job.
