I woke up really early today, and also really hyped up as I said in the check in thread. I thought I broke the habit, but my legs are bouncing like crazy which is kind of one of my hypo/manic indicators (but I also do it when stable just from restlessness and whatnot) and I'm really like running around my house with thoughts so loud.
Last time I called my MHC's crisis line they sent police to my house. I don't need to go to the hospital I just want to chill the **** out. I took an Ativan but it didn't do much Does anyone know how much Ativan I can take my pdoc never made that clear I should probably ask. I have 1mg pills.

I can't do this all day. I might go to group just to ask their advice and come up with a plan and for someone to tell me if I can say I'm manic. I mean I've kinda seen warning signs but I just thought that was excitedness because of snow.

edit: I also had watermelon, cheese, and a jalapeno for breakfast could this be affecting me?

Oh and my therapist and NP both tell me to call the crisis line even if it's not exactly a crisis. When the po=po showed up that was a crisis.

When is your next group session? If your group is today, then yeah, I'd wait until group today so that you're not spending $$$ on crisis care that you may not necessarily need. I don't think waiting a few hours would make a difference since you could try to use coping mechanisms in the interim. But if your group isn't for a while, then how long do you think you could hold out? Do you have safety plans?

Also, you should try to contact your pdoc and ask about the Ativan. If you are adamant about taking more and you can't wait for your pdoc, then can call your pharmacy to ask how much you can safely take, as pharmacists are legally required to know max dosages etc.. However, I would still advise you contact your pdoc ASAP.

I don't really have a safety plan. I made one but I lost it and it included "call the crisis line" lmao

I really, really think you should call you psychiatrist right now and let them know what is going on with you. Sending you calming vibes.

Ok. Do you think you'll be safe until 5pm? That's not too far from now.

You definitely need to come up with a safety plan again and put it somewhere safe. For example, you could tape it to your bedroom door or your bedroom wall. If you have a desk in your room, then tape it to your desk. Yes, tape it. It'll be in YOUR room anyways, so it's not like anybody would see it.

Still call your pdoc please. Get in touch ASAP.

I'm an idiot! It says right on the bottle I can take up to 3mg a day Oops.
I'll ride out the day (clean, look for my safety plan, if things get as bad as they were I'll take another ativan), go to group tonight, call my NP tomorrow if I still can't sit down

You're not an idiot; it can be so difficult to keep meds straight when we're not feeling stable.

I have always found groups helpful. I'm glad your is today. I wish you well, spikes.

I have so many pill bottles right now, I accidentally put Thorazine in my mouth this morning instead of Wellbutrin. They look the same and I didn't have my glasses on. I caught it, but these things can happen to any of us.

I think the group offered some good advice. You mentioned what you ate. Foods that aide in grounding might help. Root vegetables. Yogurt. Anything earthy like beets. Turkey has tryptophan in it. That can help. Just a few thoughts.

What medication(s) are you taking ?? Your bouncy unable to be still can actually be a side effect from many psych meds. It can happen at first dose or 178th dose.

Akathesia is real and it one of the most awful things to deal with. I have been suicidal but was given cogentin and things calmed quickly down

At least its something to consider.

Thanks for the response! I'm taking risperdal consta, cogentin, prazosin, and ativan PRN. I can sit still, just I usually want to jump on to doing something else so I hardly find myself doing one thing for very long. Cogentin's pretty good for the tremors and twitches I get
