I know things should be good with the new job and everything but I just feel really low. I am just in a bad place and I don’t know why. I think I passed my background check. I have a lot of work to do which is a big change from the last couple of years. They approved my schedule so I can at least get to therapy once a week. So everything seems to be going great but I feel like crap. I just want to withdraw from the world. Stay in bed all the time. What is wrong with me?

Do you think you're grieving the loss of your old job? Do you think your old job has made you feel bad about yourself? Or maybe you are just stressed trying to get situated with this new job and you're not handling it well. Of course, it's possible this is just a natural, untriggered mood swing.

Just some thoughts that came to mind.

I just wrote to two new therapists. Not sure if I will switch. I am in a love hate relationship with my T.

I'm sorry, Crook. Sometimes everything can be going well and we still feel down and/or anxious. Maybe you feel overwhelmed, with all the changes you're experiencing in your life. It seems to me that those of us with BP sometimes have moods that are opposite of what we "should" have. Good things happen and we feel bad...something happens that most people would think is bad and we feel hyper.

I hope that when you get used to your new environment and routine you'll feel more settled.

This is insightful. Crook, you're going through the end of something that has been a big part of your life for a long time. Sometimes we process the end of a cycle with a depressive period. Maybe give yourself a little room to feel the shift while also celebrating the benefits of your new job.

Having a session later to discuss supportive care with my T. Which means this is going to be the beginning of the end with her.

Therapy ending is often painful, ''supportive care''...
