I just got an email from Walgreens that says they are introducing drive-thru shopping. They say you can pickup household goods, pain relief, grocery, cough/cold, baby formula, and medical supplies. All you have to do is call them ahead of time to tell them your order, or order while you're in the drive thru. This should hopefully take away a lot of the stress we're experiencing and help our mood at the same time.

Here's a quote from their website:

Quote:
The products that can be purchased at pharmacy drive-thru are household essentials, chosen specifically to support the communities we serve as our customers practice social distancing to fight the spread of COVID-19. These additional products include:

Cleaning supplies and sanitizers
Cough/cold, pain/fever and immunity support
Grocery items
Infant formula/adult nutrition
Medical supplies/first aid
Paper goods

Good!

Every business that's still open (there aren't many) is doing curbside and free delivery. But more and more businesses are closing altogether. There's only 1 pet food store in my town; I'm hoping hard that they don't close. They want to do only curbside now.

Yeah, it does suck that businesses are closing.

Right now, the only way to get groceries around here is through local supermarkets, Wal-Mart, and now Walgreens apparently. I think Walgreens is a good option for people who can't get grocery pickup/delivery.

Doesn't Walgreens sell pet food too though? It might be more expensive at Walgreens than the pet food store, but at least you know that there's a 99% chance Walgreens will remain open throughout all of this.

The other pet food option, I presume, could be chewy.com. We used to order our dog's food from them. But he's now on a special renal diet that we get from the university veterinary medical center where he is treated. Actually they're closed now too except for emergency cases. But I believe one can still get curb-side pick-up for prescription medications & food.
