So while I was manic I burned through the tune of 40 thousand dollars in less than 6 months. I feel so stupid for trying to get off the meds myself. No way to get it back, the damage is done. Now I'm living paycheck to paycheck and it sucks. With all my bills my pay is gone in 2 days. Anyone else having financial troubles due to mania?

I had a mania 3 years ago where I spent 35000.00 in 3 days scratching off lottery tickets an I’m just now getting somewhat past it. I’ve never before or after had any financial issues while manic but once is enough for me to be extra cautious about taking antidepressants which triggered it

Ive never had a large amount of money to blow , but I racked up 5-6 grand on credit cards in my 20's and 30's and to me that was HUGE.. It took along time to pay those off and I did default on a few, so my credit rating was effected in a big way.

I was so angry at myself but, I did have to forgive myself eventually.. You can only kick yourself in the butt for so long.

I tried to by a $24,000 luxury cruise to Antarctica with $200.00 in my account. I just believed that the money would magically be there for anything I wanted to buy. My bank did not like it very much.

I bought a new car when i don't like to drive. I brought it back but had to pay a $3K penalty. Now there's a "cooling-off" period and what a great idea that is!
