sorry to hear about the jerk, Fuzzy.

reminds me of this scene from Charlie & the Chocolate Factory: YouTube

...where the girl turns into a blueberry that people can eat.

maybe imagine him turning into a blueberry and get eaten by bears, since bears like berries

but anyway, sorry to hear he said mean things to you. some people who say mean things have problems they're going through themselves, and so bullying people is one way they feel better about themselves. I do NOT condone bullying, but I'm just saying that beneath that mask is someone hurting, which means their anger may be directed at you, but it is also directed inward. that's why I try not to put too much thought and energy into what people say. they're hurting and unleashing their pain on you, which is wrong, but it says nothing about you as a person (IMO).

Thanks blue..

I think many on here are more “sane” than the bullying and stupid “professionals” I consulted. if they are hurting and taking that out on others maybe they are in the wrong “profession”

I am “just collateral damage” - it’s of little consequence
yes, I totally agree that "professionals" who take their hurt out on others are in the wrong profession.

I do think even mental health professionals hurt every once in a while. they are human, after all. however, they have undergone rigorous training to learn how to help others, and they should know what is acceptable to say/do and what is not acceptable to say/do.

I think I caught my therapist looking very depressed one day. I did not say anything about it because I knew it was none of my business, but every time I think about it, it reminds me that even those who help us also struggle with some of the same things we're dealing with.
