has he been nasally swabbed for the covid 19, virus? They even have a blood test that is able to check for anti bodies and whether it is an active case.
I got tested because I had pink eye and My aunt said that could be a symptom of the virus. So I had the nasal test/probe and waited 3 days for the negative results thank God!
You may have already done this for him, I have not read your thread entirely.
From what I have read you both have been thru hello and back.
Am so sorry for the suffering that you have been thru.
many good thoughts and prayers sent your way.

A huge Thank you to each and every one of you

This GD bacterial infection is a monster. He is back on another 10 days of Bactrium. IF this doesn't work he will have to go into the hospital for IV antibiotics and I will not be able to be there with him because of this damn Plague

Hes been tested for Covid and as expected it was negative..

This infection could easily kill him..I am trying desperately not to go down that mental rabbit hole, but facts are facts.

It will destroy me if I lose him

Sorry to hear you and Steve are still stuck in this awful situation. I can only imagine how frustrating, stressful, and scary this situation is for the two of you.

I hope doctors can find a way to get Steve healthy again because you and Steve deserve at least some relief from all of this unnecessary stress.

I also hope you can find out the cause of this infection, but I realize that may be very difficult.

Keep hanging in there. You're a very strong person who is going through a lot.

Did they test him with nasal swabs or the venipunture blood test?or did they just do a rapid results one, prick finger put the blood ona device that looks
like a pregnancy test.It was recommended to me to get tested.I was symptom free except for this pink eye that I had gone to the walk in urgent care place. That first test came out positive, I freaked out. they then did the nasal swab/probe. and wanted for 3 days to get the results. That came back negative. those rapid results are not that reliable, wonder why they use them. I am going to go back and have the blood test for the virus....why did they not offer that? that is the most definitive test it tells you if you have the anti bodies and if you are actively having the virus.
Sending good thoughts your way. you sound so stressed.

Steve had the swab that he said wasn't pleasant, but not horrible like many people report, hes a tough guy , We were at a drive through testing site, they also did the blood test. Both Negative.. Of course if this dose of Bactrium doesn't kill off the bacteria and he needs to go to the hospital they will test him again, many times most likely.

This is just so far beyond frustrating and scarey

I'm sorry that both of you are experiencing such long-term stress. There's no greater burden than health problems.

No, the test is not bad, at all. Slight discomfort for 5 seconds.

Well I was able to get Steve up for about 2 hours. Long enough to nebulize take his meds and eat something.. Hes so unsteady on his feet. He went to get up and he started to fall and Im trying to get to him. Anyway he landed hard on his hands and knees, He said he didnt hurt himself.. His blood pressure was a bit low for him 100/55 ... I rechecked him about 20 or so mins later and 100/67.. Im going to check his BP through out the night , I might hold off on his Lisinipril he was put on a few weeks ago as his blood pressure was too high then.. I am hoping I can get him up for a bit longer tomorrow.. But Bactruim just knocks him out. 16-18 + hours a day he is sleeping...This damn antibiotic really needs to work ,it has to work..

I am still walking on rusty barbwire juggling flaming razor blades.
