Be careful out there beautiful bear, there are a lot of snakes who will take advantage of you, break your heart and try to steal your soul. I love you (and I deeply regret nobody in that family were capable of that emotion

and do not accept the first meds they try to give you. Research and do not accept anyone’s attempt to play some sort of deity who is undeserving of that status..

I would have told myself to reach out for help at a younger age than I did. I suffered badly from BD symptoms starting from childhood, which was unfortunate.

I also would have been more selective about which meds to take.

Definitely, more selective re what meds To take

And, definitely more selective re what Truths to swallow..

And people are not always who they seem. Including the most unexpected sometimes. They IRL duped so many. It was NOT ME.

I would tell myself to keep my mouth closed when it comes to meds. I knew that I would gain weight on Depakote but I put that first pill in my mouth anyway and it was downhill from then on. "Your physical health is as important as your mental health!" And I would not ignore it and get as bad off as I have become. Just not being as overweight has helped my liver! That's great news! That and taking vitamin E.

I can relate re a med I took and a lot of weight gain. . It was a med I would rather not name here but if anyone wants to know I will tell them via PM. Yes I would keep my mouth closed.

Tell me again
When I am clean and I’m sober
When I’ve seen through the horror

If there was “help” I would contact that “help”

Tell me again..

When I’ve seen through the horror

Tell me again
Tell me over and over

I am “safe”

When the day has been ransomed
And the night has no right to come in...

(tell me that you love me then)

I know papa bear loves me

But I Must not speak......which has been the directive since 9 months or before. Insane? Maybe so

What have I learnt today?

How my Latin O level is something I do not regret taking even though I was naturally a “lazy” cub..

Lucrum - profit. A new word I learnt today

ETA I hadn’t realised the pejorative sense of the original Latin either

I am grateful to my father for encouraging my interest in words. Written words (only)...He did try with that to some extent. As for “practical things” ...

Be honest. Don't be afraid to say "I don't know" or "I haven't thought about it" if that's the truth. Also, keep your damn pants on!

Get help when you're well they won't lock you pu then. Find a therapist on your side. They do exist. Your going to be a mom to a sn kid. He is awesome and you did great but you need an AP. Those "headaches" are psychosis. There's no drug legal or otherwise that can keep you up. So stop trying. Stable isn't as bad as you think.

I would tell myself to try to get a low-stress job and to never, ever, ever use alcohol or drugs.

I would tell myself to protect my money from myself, to protect my body from others, to never make decisions without two people to tell me if they were solid or not.

I would say "Hang in there Kid, things are going to be tough and dark at times but you will persevere." And "When things get tough, don't be afraid to reach out for support and help"

They'll give you a label and that label is its true name, then you'll have power over it.

Is that from the name of the wind?

I made it up based on many movies and books. If you know the true name you have power over that thing.

That balance is a continual dance and it requires an understanding of the whole self. I would want to warn myself that there are hidden pieces of me that need to be seen and heard and that it is going to take all of the strength I have to allow them to surface and greet them with love and compassion without shattering my mind. I would tell myself that my fear is what will break me, but the experience of redesigning my life will be by far the most challenging and rewarding project I can take on.
