UGH - I'm up again after 3 hours of sleep. One of my cats actually woke me up - he gets bad anxiety in the middle of the night while his humans are asleep and sometimes he acts up.

Nammu - I wish I remembered my dreams but I so rarely do.

One of mine does, too. Sometimes it helps if I hold her against me while I sleep.

Dreaming obsessively about an old boyfriend. I truly do not want to dream about the guy. There's nothing there, in any way, for me. It's really annoying.

I fell asleep at 8:30 and then woke up wide awake at about 10:15. That’s pretty weird for me. Less than 1.5 hours of sleep after going to bed that late. I did get up pretty late yesterday morning though. I can take my Geodon in an hour or I can try some melatonin.

I have sharp, dull, achy, you name it type pains in my back which isn’t helping.

I sometimes do that with my cat too - if he'll let me. It does seem to help him calm down and me get back to sleep

I was up for three hours in the middle of the night. Then fell back to sleep and woke up really confused and cranky.

Christina, I just ordered ZzzQuil on Amazon. I used to take it, can't recall if it helped me sleep or, if it did, how much.

You said 2 shots. Do you mean twice the amount recommended?

Beth.. Well Yes 2 doses, I honestly just take 2 big swigs outta the bottle... and I immediatly go laydown, A few times I have take another swig but no more and I like my Kidneys and Liver too much to risk it. I tried the ZzzzQuil it didnt even give me a long blink.

The only time that I actually got a pretty consistant amount of sleep daily. I was on 800 mg Seroquil and either Xanax or Valium.. But well the Seroquil caused weight gain and it began to fade with sedative side effect in 4-6 weeks. I have Seroquel here of all doses, Zyprexa, Abilify, Thorazine, Haldol, and probabaly 5-10 more

So I have a large amount of meds that I can try.. Nothing works for me for more than a couple weeks so I seldom take them. I need them when I am on day 4-5-6 of no sleep.. It sucks, alot

I remember being young 7-8 years old? My Mother would find me awake in the middle of the night and whoop my azzzzzz over it.

Even years later my brain is just afraid to fall asleep but thats due to my csa, I had one of those "Uncles" So honestly altho all that I have processed. My T Richard and my Pdoc think that my overwhelming fear from the PTSD will always be a factor and ill probably not ever get sleep daily. So I take what I can and if need be snow myself totally under.

Now with My Husband having more health problems I am finding sleep harder to find.. But I do what I can when I can ..

Hope your able to find sleep

My mom used to find me awake and do the same thing

When I was recently IP I drove the night nurses crazy because I didn't sleep. They all thought it was strange but my pdoc told them it was normal for me.

Gah, my ZZZQuil just arrived...well, if it doesn't work tonight it's onto NyQuil for me.

That's the biggest problem. Nothing I've found works for more than a few weeks - or a few nights. Like melatonin. Pfffft. Stuff worked for 2 nights, then it was like swallowing water.

So I have a large amount of meds that I can try.. Nothing works for me for more than a couple weeks so I seldom take them. I need them when I am on day 4-5-6 of no sleep.. It sucks, alot

Yeah, that's what I do. Not sleep until I'm collapsing, then taken just about anything that might slam me to sleep.

I remember being young 7-8 years old? My Mother would find me awake in the middle of the night and whoop my azzzzzz over it.

Aw, I'm sorry. That's rotten, rotten. My mother used to threaten

(TRIGGER)

to kill me if I went to sleep because of her belief that I hated her. I was 8, for pete's sake. She was mentally ill, sometimes an angel, sometimes completely whacked. She's been dead for 14 years, but I still hear her as I'm falling asleep...anyway...why we're here...

Even years later my brain is just afraid to fall asleep but thats due to my csa, I had one of those "Uncles" So honestly altho all that I have processed. I understand, all too well. My so-called "step-father" was my Lester the Molester. Oh...the shite that kids go through.

Now with My Husband having more health problems I am finding sleep harder to find.. But I do what I can when I can ..

Hope your able to find sleep

Thank you, sweetie. You, too.

Im sorry Beth that you also went through hell because of Childhood terror. My T Richard says even once we can process that abuse for almost everyone they are left with life long insomnia for fear of XYZ is going to happen if we do go to sleep, Mostly we arent able to get the deep restorative sleep that comes so easily to others.. My Husband climbs into bed we might chat for a couple mins, He rolls over and he literally is snoring in 5 mins.. I am so jealous.

You might want to ask your Pdoc about Seroquel to use as a prn, last ditch " Omg I HAVE to get some kinda sleep" deal.

Hope you can find something that helps you !

Yeah, so much for the ZZZQuil. Useless stuff, unless I'm dreaming that I'm writing this post

Christine, I think I have to ask her for a low dose of Seroquel. I'm desperate. Finally falling asleep at 11a.m. then sleeping until 1p.m. is ridiculous.

Yesterday morning I woke up at around 6:30 and immediately thought “ugh I can’t get up right now.” Then I fell back asleep until 8:30. Now I’m wide awake at 12:24 and I haven’t tried going to sleep yet. I’m in bed though. I’m kind of hungry for snacks.

The plan for tonight was to take some Ativan and go to sleep. Well, it's 2:30am and I'm wide awake! I normally have no problem falling asleep around 10:30pm and wake up around 7am but these past few days I just wake up earlier and earlier and tonight just absolutely nothing.

I woke up from a nightmare last night. After I woke up it was hard to shake the fear, so I got up and checked all the doors. Come to find out that the doors weren’t locked!

Nammu Sucky dream but I am glad you woke up and locked everything up tight !

I have to follow behind my husband sometimes and lock doors, I mean we live in the country and no one has ever come out here that has no reason too. But its a habit I had living in Florida that doors need to be locked especially at night.

Hope tonight brings you a pleasant dream and lots of good sleep
