Yeah, I did give up soda/sugary liquids. Giving up drugs has proven to be much harder, however, and it has not worked so far.

He passed away a long time ago (alcohol and maybe drugs), but John Bonham of the band Led Zeppelin was pretty darned amazing.

when I was at school, they did a play on the war.

the song they used was samuel barber's adagio for strings

I don't think anything quite captures the devistation on a battle field quite like that song

so intense and so moving

I don't even remember. Probably a couple years. The nearest McDonald's restaurants are 20 or 25 minutes away, and I rarely go in those directions. For some reason my immediate area has many more Burger Kings. I prefer Burger King burgers, but like McDonald's breakfast items better, particularly their Egg McMuffin and hash brown. My husband will almost never eat at any fast food restaurant, other than maybe Subway or Mooyah Burger, and at the latter he eats a salad. He will eat the McDonald's big breakfast (scrambled eggs, sausage, hash brown, English muffin) on rare occasions, but only if we are traveling. Even in those cases we usually eat beforehand or at a hotel breakfast. My favorite fast food restaurant is Surf Taco. We actually rarely eat fast food. I am an enthusiastic home cook/baker.

Is there something you do a lot that many people don't?

not really, but I suppose watch cartoons (and by cartoons, I mean for really little kids)

and at my age, with no kids, that's kinda weird and not something you see all the time
actually I do a lot of " kid" orientated things which people of my age don't do or think you're too old for.

do you miss being a kid?, or are you glad you are grown up

I'm glad I'm adult although of course there are memories of happy times as a child or times I want a do-over.

Have ever drank Gatorade or its' equivilant? What is your favorite flavor?

I havon't. but have heard good things about it so really want to.

I don't think you can get it in the UK though, so maybe will have to order some on amazon (maybe they do it, I know that's where I got some american candy from)

A toy that was similar to barbie but was wee plastic people which you had a tree house, cars and caravan amongst other things. It was called Oh Penny and its a toy from the 80's still have it in the attic at my parents house lol!

Question: The UK is basking in a heat wave sitting at 32 degrees Celsius in some parts of England. I'm in Scotland and it's sitting at 22 degrees Celsius. What about you? What's the temperature where you are?

I live in the US (Mid Atlantic state). We tend to have hot and humid summers. Right now (8:20 am) it's comparatively mild at 20 C (68 F) and even today's high in my area will be mild at 27 C (81 F), because of a cooler front with rain. We had the edge of a hurricane pass by a couple of days ago, too. Normally it's closer to 32 C (90 F) or even hotter. When it gets brutally hot, it can reach 38 F (100 F), but slightly lower is the norm. The humidity always makes it feel hotter. I'm looking forward to autumn. That's the best season where I am.

What time of year is your mood usually at its best or at least a bit better?

winter time. with me it's usually a lot worse in summer, a lot better in winter
however that said: most of my sui attempts have also been in the winter months so hmm.

I will stick with winter though.

Yes, but not as much as my European husband. I tend to prefer the more woodsy and meaty mushrooms. Chanterelles are lovely, though. When I have purchased them (expensive and sometimes hard to find) I usually make them in eggs or a veal dish. My husband once ordered a dish in the Alsace region of France, years back, where they were sauteed with calves kidneys and then flambeed with Cognac. I'm not a fan of kidneys, and it's next to impossible to find them for sale in stores near me. Mushroom picking, in general, is also much more common in my husband's native country. He knows how to identify a number of them in the wild, but I don't. Maybe I'll have some chanterelles in about a month or so, since we're going to France, Spain, and Czech Republic. I hope.

kangaroo burger. during a reality tv series, one of the supermarkets sold it for the duration of the show (it was sponsored by that supermarket). they also sold crocodile, but I didn't brave that one.

Not that very long, considering how some people wait and even camp out for certain things. I guess the longest I remember was close to an hour. I was only a teenager and went to see the movie Amadeus with my parents. Perhaps there was some other long line (we call it "line" where I am), but I'm forgetting it. Well, maybe some of the lines in airports have been pretty long.
