The Divided Self R.D. Laing

If you could visit any country which would it be?

Take care. Be Safe.

Though I have driven through some of Austria, I never went to Vienna. That's next on my list. I am 99% sure I will go there in 2021. As for countries I have not yet visited, I have the Patagonia region of either Argentina or Chile in mind.

What is something about your favorite city that you particularly like? Any city anywhere.

I really learned to appreciate mindfulness exercises. Keeps me grounded and generally happy. It's funny, in the early days I simply "couldn't get it". Yet it's such a simple concept. I'm glad I finally did.

Q: Is there a well-known coping skill/tool that just doesn't work for you for some reason?

meditation

honestly, it doesn't do anything for me.

I suppose it has to do with the fact I can never relax and I can't imagine things in my head (I can't for example see a castle, unless I'm in a castle type thing) the only acceptions are my flashbacks

do you have any negative memories connected to the holidays, and if so, how do you deal with them when that day comes around

Not really. Well, I could say that I have a little sad memory about my 30th birthday. My paternal grandmother died that day. She was an ideal type of grandmother, unlike my maternal one. Also, I remember that one of my psychiatric hospitalizations fell during a birthday. It was actually not that bad, considering. They made a big deal about it. I was surprised. I hadn't expected anything, or been dwelling on it. As for when my birthday rolls around, I don't give either that much thought. I don't keep track of death (or other bad) anniversaries. I choose to remember loved ones all of the time and put bad times behind me. When I'm well, I don't dwell on sadness. Plus, I've been known to almost forget (or forget) my anniversary, my husband's name day/birthday, and even my own birthday. [Hubby gets angry since he is a like a little boy about such days.]

Q: What was your favorite gift you ever received on a holiday (Christmas, birthday, or other holiday)?

Did you prefer sport, art or music when you were at school?

Music. I didn't like sports, but loved dancing.

Q: Do you like watching any kind of sport? If so, which one do you like to watch most?

We'll, I guess I once told my mother to go to hell. I didn't mean it. I got slapped for it. Generally I don't exactly say mean things, though. Also at a past job I had to train a woman who just couldn't seem to learn. She eventually tried to weasel out of the task by saying "But you're so much better at that than me." I forget what I said in response, but it was not so nice. I think I was hypomanic at the time, as well. I've encountered that same type of thing before. Sometimes I let people get away with it, other times not, such as when elevated in mood. I don't like to be taken advantage of.

Q: See post above.

Yes saw it when it first came out at the cinema I was 12 I think it was 1997. It was brilliant loved it. Saw it again when it came out in 3D again amazing. Love Kate Winslet and to a degree Leo lol. Celine Dion is amazing love her too the song is just amazing.

Question with 2 months left of the disastrous year of 2020 for the whole world.... is there anything your looking forward to in Nov or Dec? If no did Jan-March have anything good for you?
