Yeah, I used to think I was rapid cycling, switching between depression, hypomania, mixed every few weeks/months. That's been going on for about 5 years. Now I wonder if it hasn't just all been one big mixed episode with fluctuating symptoms that's just now coming to the worst of it.

My Pdoc is going to call a few hospitals and mention the word "emergency." Let's see what happens. I'm hoping for the best.

No dice, looks like it's going to be another two months.

About 6 weeks until the admission interview/tests, and then another "few weeks" until the actual ECT starts. I'm hoping that a few weeks means around 2, so that it will be 2 months until I can start the ECT and not longer than that. They couldn't really say anything for certain, so I'm kind of nervous about how long the wait is really going to be and whether they'll even agree to do the ECT in the first place.

I'm sorry to hear this. I can't think of anything so ridiculous as making you wait like that.

Yeah... The thing I'm most worried about is my job. I don't want to go on sick leave now when I'm already going to need 5/6 weeks for the ECT. But I don't know how I'm going to keep working for another two months either.
