This is my second week of my new job doing covid cleaning for a school. I am currently on ssi and this is meant to help me get off ssi. I have been feeling a bit ill today but I'm not sure if it's anxiety related. I also slept all day today and called into work. I actually felt physically off but it was more emotional related. Now I feel terrible calling into work but I feel like trash emotionally and physically. I really need help with learning to manage my anxiety during the day. It's overwhelming one day and non existent the next and with OCD sprinkled in, I'm having a hard time functioning. The only reason I like my new job is it's cleaning and it reduces my anxiety by the end of my work day because it makes me feel like I de-contaminated a school. I really can't think up ways to help deal with anxiety though. I know there's someone who is filling in for me tonight but I feel so guilty I called in even though I do feel sick and I'm required by law to get tested if I have a fever. Now I'm just worried that I spread covid to the elderly teachers and my obsessive thoughts are bad now. I took half of a 10mg zyprexa 15 minutes ago and I'm really needing help with self soothe or anxiety reducing activities. Please post some ideas. Thanks.

I should also mention there is a covid 19 outbreak at the school I've been disinfecting every night and so I may have gotten it but need to go get tested tomorrow. I'm 27 and healthy so I won't die from it and I'm not worried about dying but I hate being sick.

You did a good job taking the night off and tending to your mental health, so make sure to give yourself some credit there. I'll just list the things I do to help with anxiety:
Listening to calming music
talking to a friend
coming on here
having a hot cup of tea (especially chamomile)
go for a walk (if you'll feel safe doing so)
take a bath/hot shower
journal
Watch things like webcams at aquariums or the ones looking over the mtns/forest (when it's light out obviously)
deep breathing/square breathing
yoga (I suggest Yoga with Adrienne on youtube)
