SSRI's are notoriously difficult to withdraw from (but most pdocs refuse to believe that) - unless you cross over immediately to another SSRI.

I think the official line is still that Paxil is ''not addictive'' and that withdrawals last >>?? I do not know. It's a while since I read any official info re this. I am hoping the benzo withdrawal will not be as rough... or maybe it will be ''worse''...
Yes...

ETA Papa bear has been at home all day. We had a ''visitor'' today.... (mending our loo).

He does not want me to talk (this will probably be so for the rest of this day)

Why doesn't he want you to talk? Maybe because he has no loo right now

I had asked him if he would read this post to check for typos .. etc.

I am hoping for a smooth detox from klonipin for you.
I only take 1mg for sleep at night.
I don't know the equivalent dose of the diazapam.
My provider took me off with out a taper and
I freaked out. I could not sleep.

how is your sleep going?
Now I have a new provider and gave me my klonipin back.
you are being very brave in wanting to do this.
I assumed it was your choice or is this your providers decision?

Thank you, bizi. One of my greatest fears has been that a provider would take me off Klonopin with no taper, or too fast of a taper. I'm so sorry you went through that. It's dangerous. I have read many times that Klonopin is more difficult, and much more risky, to stop taking than heroin is. From friends I've had and people I've known I believe it.

My sleep is not good, but I haven't yet cut back on the K-pin. I take a small amount of Seroquel and ZzzQuil to sleep. Those help.

It is my choice. I'm tired of taking a medication that isn't helping me in any way anymore. I would have to take 6mg. of K-pin all at once for it to affect me.

Hi fuzzy, how is it going?
how long in between tapers?
how slowly can you go?

I hope it goes smoothly for you.
when my pdoc took me off the klonipin that I had been on for years because I drank....I could not sleep.
How is your sleeping?
much affection to you,
bizi

Hi Bizi and Beth and all,

I decided to taper as the temazepam was not working as well as it used to and this month my supplies were running very low (fang appointments etc). I also have diazepam prescribed.

The taper is going well at the moment. I took 5mg diazepam last night ... and also 2 piriton which are also prescribed for allergies.

The prescribed dose was (/is) higher than this, 30mg temazepam at night or 3 x 5mg diazepam.

I have also heard of providers abruptly stopping other peoples’ benzos. I’m sorry a provider did that to you Bizi That probably factored into my decision to taper without their input.

I’ve been sleeping ok.

Thanks BethRags

I haven't experienced withdrawal symptoms except for probably my censor isn't working as well as usual today. In fact almost certainly it isn't Grrrrrr. I deleted some of the messages I didn't ''like'' but I can't delete a PM. Sometimes I don't like waiting and wondering what I have said ''wrong''... anyway I have to log out so I'll keep wondering. I usually keep my censor on for PMs and posts. But that limits authentic communication so it's a dilemma (of course the person I PMd might not even be online or might have more urgent mail. I also never call anyone irl if I'm in crisis as it always makes things worse. Grrrrr

He tries

I'm ''too much'' for most people. He also needs a lot of alone time, and it's not me he is wanting to escape from, he doesn't like talking much to anyone. I told a relative that and they just said ''all men are like that''.... NO. I have known others who are not ''like that''.... but they were also abusers (my ex fiasco for example)

I wonder why I attract so many abusers?

Thanks BethRags I just made a long post

I was very sleepy and tired today (not much sleep last night). Today was uneventful mostly except for me talking ''too much'' and about the ''wrong'' things... I was so tired earlier I napped a bit in the afternoon, or tried to. One diazepam last night. I was having some weird memories earlier on... not things I usually remember.

A lot of people have told me this... parents, doctors, even therapists... and I talk about the ''wrong'' things when I make Papa bear feel bad (I also ''ruined'' my mother's life I was told this many times.. and that I ''should be punished all my life''..)

I was told the same by my mother. Exactly those words! Do you know, just because some people tell you this or that doesn't mean they are correct.

Who ever told you that about your mother...and that you should be punished all of your life is full of sh**. Sounds like an abuser too.
Do you have to maintain contact with that person. I would avoid them like the plague!
